This is my entry for Melto's Draft to Life Contest 1. Goliath is intended to be an initiator/semi-carry who relies on building up Rage by attacking his enemies to empower his skills.
There is a legend among the Legion of Goliath, the greatest warrior of all time. The legend goes that in a time of eternal war Goliath emerged as an unmatched warrior. His immense size, stupendous strength, and unparalleled mastery of weapons gave him victory against any opponent. It is said that Goliath became addicted to the euphoria of battle never thinking of the possibility of the war ending.
But one day, the endless war ended, and Goliath was an empty and broken man without the constant rush of battle. Seeking a final epic, Goliath challenged Sol himself to a duel. Sol refused and Goliath went into a rage cursing Sol as the greatest coward on Newerth or in the heavens. At this insult, Sol struck Goliath down with a single blow and imprisoned him in the deepest part of Hell to endure the harshest tortures Hell could offer.
Goliath's story was only thought to be a cautionary parable against challenging Sol, but when the Hellborne emerged onto Newerth, a nameless giant of colossal stature and mammoth strength appeared amidst the chaos of battle with an unrivaled passion for warfare. Having no name for this menace, the Legion took to calling the giant Goliath in remembrance of the greatest tragedy. Unknown to the Legion, they named the giant by his true name, and he revels in the joy of finally satiating his lust after centuries of imprisonment.
Description: Goliath throws the chains that imprisoned him for ages dealing a small amount of damage and pulling anyone hit towards him. As his rage builds, the force with which he throws the chain becomes more powerful maiming the target and shattering the target's armor.

Activation {Q}:
Gains 1 Charge every 6 seconds. Max of 1/2/3/4 charges.
On activation, consumes 1 charge to fire a projectile that flies 1000 units over the course of 1.0 second.
Upon impact with an enemy, the projectile deals 50 damage + 50% of the bonus damage from Battle Lust in physical damage and pulls the target 200 units towards Goliath over the course of 0.5 seconds.
Bonus from Battle Rage:
20 Battle Rage Charges:
Slows the movement speed of targets for a stacking 10% for 3.0 seconds.
40 Battle Rage Charges:
Grants the Bonus from 20 Battle Rage Charges and lowers the physical armor of the target by 1. Stacks up to -1/-2/-3/-4 armor lost.
60 Battle Rage Charges:
Grants the bonuses from 40 Battle Rage Charges and mini-stuns the target for 0.1 seconds.

Description: Goliath's long imprisonment has left him starved for the tastes and sensations of warfare. He gains damage based on how many enemies are nearby and every time he attacks he gets more enraged which increases the power of his other skills.

Passive:
Goliath gains a permanent +4 bonus damage when he kills an enemy hero.
For every hero (allied and enemy) in a 900 radius, Goliath gains 2/3/4/5 damage per hero around. Max of 20/30/40/50 bonus damage.
Whenever Goliath deals Physical Damage, he gains 10 charges + 1 charge per hero (allied and enemy) of Battle Rage. Max of 100 charges.

Notes:
-Battle Rage charges perform similarly to Drunken Master's Drunk Charges. When a skill is activated, the amount of Battle Rage charges needed to activate its second affect are consumed.
-If 5 seconds pass without Goliath attacking, Goliath begins losing 20 Battle Rage Charges per second.
-In addition to attacks, Goliath gains Battle Rage charges each time he hits a Fetter or counters an attack while Deadened Senses is active.
-As the quotas of Rage Charges are met, Goliath's skill icons will change color to show what level of power they will be.
Description:
Goliath has learned how to deaden his body's sensation to survive countless battles and endless torments. He gains an increased amount of armor for a short time and as his Rage builds he can purge harmful effects from his body.

For 4.0 seconds, Goliath gains 3/6/9/12 physical armor.
Whenever Goliath is attacked he counters the attack for 10%/15%/20%/25% of his base damage + 50% of his damage bonus from Battle Lust.
Bonus from Battle Rage:
With 30 Battle Rage charges:
All Magic Damage Goliath takes is converted into Physical Damage.
With 55 Battle Rage charges:
Gives bonus from 30 charges of Battle Rage and when attacked, reduces the attack's damage by the damage of Goliath's counterattack.
With 80 Battle Rage charges:
Gives bonuses from 55 charges of Battle Rage. This skill can be activated while silenced and it purges Goliath of Debuffs upon cast.

Bonuses from Battle Rage:
With 40 Battle Rage charges:
Squashed affects enemies in a 300 unit radius and Goliath gains 5/10/15 additional charges of Battle Rage upon attack.
With 70 Battle Rage charges:
Grants bonuses from 40 Battle Rage charges, Squashed affects enemies in a 350 unit radius and Goliath attacks with an additional 30/55/80 attack speed.
With 100 Battle Rage charges:
Grants Bonuses from 70 Battle Rage Charges, Squashed affects enemies in a 400 unit radius and Goliath gains 40%/50%/60% life steal.

Nice hero, but seems a bit complicated since the third and ult do different things depending on you charges, like, it would be simplier if 10-40 charges: deals x damage / 40-100: deals x damage + x but on those abilities they like do all different things :P still is ok. you don't mention if they acumulate(this would make the ability simple too) and do the first skill share cd?
@ Melto: Thick Hide lasts 4.0 seconds. Forgot to add that in notes.
If you have 70 Battle Rage charges, both X and Y occur. Made a note of that.
@Matzor: I believe my note to Melto answers your question. If you gain enough charges to have an additional affect (ex: while thick Hide is active gain 75 Battle Rage Charges), you will not gain the higher bonuses.
Reworked the First skill to be more unique. I feel it falls under the Hard Ganker category though.
Q: Towards Watson?? Who the hell is Watson? The skill itself is fine, sort of like a bunch of mini Devo hooks... Mana cost might be a bit high, though. 160 mana, and Devo has one long hook that costs less, does more damage, and pulls farther.
W: Watson Badgerton. You might want to change the name. Watson sounds a lot less intimidating than Goliath... Even though this is the mandatory skill, you really hit it out of the park incorporating the lore with this one, as well as the battle rage charge mechanic! Do Battle rage charges decay over time?
E: Damn, this spell could be amazing if you had the charges for it... Even then the armor and reflection are nothing to snicker at. Cooldown might be a little low, but I'm not very sure about that.
R. Oh god... A kongor-sized hero... That. Is. Awesome. The Battle rage bonuses really synergize well, you NEED that attack speed if you want more battle rage, which you were already starved for. I'm a bit confused as to how Squashed! works though. Does Goliath only squash things upon initital activation? If not, can you squash something multiple times? Balance may be an issue here. If you get a portal key, activate a full-strength ultimate, jump in, and you have one of the strongest initiations in the game, possibly better than a Tempest ultimate.
I love the hero, though! The ultimate would be REALLY fun, reminds me of the S2 parasite spotlight video, where he infested Kongor. The Battle rage mechanic adds much-needed synergy, especially on the ultimate. I would imagine you would be rage-starved most of the way into a fight, though.

Thanks for catching all the references to Watson. That was this heroes original name, but like you said, it just was not as intimidating as a Giant's name should be.
Q: I agree that the basic skill is underpowered next to Devo's hook. That is by design to balance the fact that as Goliath gains Battle Rage Charges the skill becomes notably better than Devo's hook because it also slows and reduces the target's armor.
W: Yes, Battle Rage Charge's decay over time. I just forgot to mention it. Added a note about it.
E: Added a second to the cool down at all levels. I want this skill to have a low cool down so that great players can use it to effectively counter high burst damage teams. In addition, this skill has a key weakness in that -armor teams can exploit it to absolutely wreck Goliath.
R: Goliath only squashes things upon activation. Think of it as a similar ult to Maliken's. The skill would be retardedly OP if you could Squash someone multiple times. 10+ seconds of being Sheeped is never balanced.
He would not be as Rage Starved as you would imagine. He gains Battle Rage every time he deals Physical damage, so each time he counter attacks or hits with a Fetter, he gains Rage.
I am glad you like the Hero. I agree that a hero roaming the landscape like the Parasite infected Kongor would be extremely fun to play. At least as long as he is balanced appropriately.
