I find all he needs is Steams/Shrunken/SoR to hit critical mass and be an unstoppable man-beast. Riftshards after that for huge critbeats.

So last night I did some games, and I actually found this to be a very viable build :EnhancedMarchers: :HelmOfTheBlackLegio :ElderParasite: :ShrunkenHead: :Brutalizer: aemonicBreastplate and turn the helm into :BehemothsHeart: devestating damage at the end.

Not sure how this works for others, but I did some really good games with an average KD of the three games I did to be 1:5.3. Again this was low brackets

Also make sure the enemy team has a Hellflower carrier before you pick Berzerker.

I personally never liked HoTBL and always substituted 2x Bracers when I could (except Legionaire, Arma, Moraxus); saves me half the cost. It yields roughly same amount of damage vs getting HoTBL. This is of course up for debate.

I'll try this next time I play, but I mostly get it for the regeneration/deflection. It makes Berzerker really hard to force back to the fountain.

Ghost Marchers, Helm Of The Black Legion and Insanitarius Three core items. If I'm doing well, I get a Chalice to avoid having to regen all the time.

Why do you need to afk farm with a hero that has such strong early game presence?

Exactly as Rice_against says, but also,

W hits creeps with magic damage like a mini-mock.
R (ult) can be used on ancients early for a good gold boost, because of its low cooldown.
He usually build hotbl early, so boom jungle becomes viable early.

But yeah, go gank, much better option with this guy. He's not a hard carry.

yeah I tried that a couple of times, it wasn't good XD even though I had things like a quad kill, in the end they outcarried us and elder parasite was just helping them.

Whispering Helm is very good though, it makes him even more tanky. But maybe Abyssal is even better since it gives a base damage increase.

it really is, the chaos alt is even worse. thats why stacking steamboots works so well. it gives much need atk speed and str for very cheap.

at lvl 16 with 4 steamboots zerker has 2164hp, 1.429 atks per second and 140 atk damage(313 with ult) all for only 5800g
