    K2 Fatal Error - Couldn't Load vid_d3d9

    Hello,

i'm going absolutely crazy trying to fix my HoN in working again, it doesn't even start... EVER it just gives this error

    "hon.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\system32\d3dx9_40.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."

    i have tried the following
    1. running it as Admin
    2. reinstalling HoN (re-downloading it, installing it in different folders (as admin ofcourse))
    3. reinstalling graphics drivers

i have tried to see if it is Direct X related but it is impossible to reinstall it or update it since i already have Direct X 11, thus every setup i run says "you already have this or a newer version" and the installer just shuts down

also i can't find my console.log anywhere i have windows 7 and i tried going to this folder
    "C:\Users\[user]\Documents\Heroes of Newerth\game\"
as you mentioned at this link
    http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/wi...hp/Console.log
but it can't find the folder, anywhere
(and yes i changed [user] to my username)

    System Specs:
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
    System Model: Gigabyte Tech. EP43-DS3L
    Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU E7300 @2.66GhZ (2 CPU's) ~2.7GhZ
    RAM : 4GB
Graphics Card : Nvidia GT 440
    Antivirus: Avast!

i used to be able to play HoN but i don't know what happend or when but it suddenly gives this error

i'm sure the temperature of my pc has nothing to do with it

i hope you guys can help me since i've been trying to fix this problem for over 2 months now and this is really my last option

    Greetings and thanks in advance

    Delete C:\WINDOWS\System32\d3dx9_40.dll and C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\d3dx9_40.dll

and then install the following: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35
