I just saw the YouTube-video, and it's probably the dumbest **** I've ever seen. It honestly blew my mind how stupid people can be when it comes to this video and the retard who wrote the poem. Check it here.
I also found and saw this as a related video which shows how incredibly stupid the "Why I hate religion, but love Jesus" video/poem is for those who cba spending time on thinking about it.

I don't generally like the videos TheAmazingAtheist makes. He's always so mad about things that aren't really that mad-worthy. And sometimes he makes too many appeals to ridicule. Also, even when I was 5 years old and still believed in god, I never believed in Heaven and Hell, they seemed too inconsistent and unbelievable.

I don't want this to be a thread discussing which religion is right and which isn't. It's to discuss how stupid the guy in the video is. Or for people to agree with what he's saying (religion != Jesus but religion = Jesus)
I don't fancy him all that much either. There's one video that he's made that I really enjoy, and it doesn't even relate to religion. All other recommended videos where complete crap though.
To believe in jesus is to believe in god (atleast jesus as the son of god as just another guy then sure whatever floats your boat) but he goes on about the bible and stuff guy seems stupid and prolly just some attention whore
this guy clearly is mad at the world which is why hes such a cynical nerd with no concept of poetry and metaphor.

i agree with half of the title.
The irony is killing me, however I can't deny that he has several good points.
That doesn't necessarily follow. I'm sure plenty of us here hate religion, but actually quite like Jesus.

I'm surprised how much people are clamouring onto this video. It's just the next level of proselytism where they try to look hip and rebellious against the evil, oppressive religion, even though "following Jesus" is the same thing. But really, ignoring these affairs is better for your sanity.

Quite enjoyed it tbh. I would debate this issue... however, It's best to only discuss about books that you've actually read.
I wonder what he means when he says "religion" and "Jesus".
I believe Jesus existed, but that he was a regular person just with different ideas, performing supposed "miracles" because people couldn't think for themselves and everyone knows how much stories are altered and exaggerated if the spoken word is the only way to spread them. Chances are he was simply on some kind of natural drug and people thought he spoke the truth.
Either way it doesn't matter to me much. I'm with Octavia on this one, it's probably best to not get involved with such fanatic folks on either side really. Just leads to trouble and endless discussions where nobody even really knows what they're on about anymore.
