Everybody talks about spell vamp. Let's also not forget that her aura lets her allies ignore a notable amount of magic armor.

Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain.
    And... most fools do.

Range on her aura isn't big, zephyr wants to stay in middle of team fight. Rhapsody standing in middle of team fight = dead Rhapsody. She shouldn't come this close to the fight unless she is about to use her ulti.

I like this, allies move (dance) so they are healed. Make more sense with the theme.

coz rhapsody ended up being the best at nothing :S she could push but got nerfed, now any other hero with an aoe is much better to push (RA).
she isnt the best healer as people need to stand still (just as monarch heal)
however, she doesnt have the damaging potential that monarch has with that poison field and the staccato skill is by no mean comparable to the immobilizing monarchs skill
and as said before, jeraziah being a tank, support and sometimes semicarry and having a very similar non channeling ultimate is just silly.

The problem is on Jeraziah, not on Rhapsody. I remember the old thread asking for buffs when he was already sitting on 52 or 53% winning rate, now he is on 56.2%.

The dance floor counter pushes good, and defends tower pretty nice. Her stun, whatever it is called, is instant with decent range, and good for initiating lane ganks. May be imba with the right tri-lane, our duo-lane with chronos or nh, mb, madman etc. 3rd skill is good with a right setup, like a chipper, tort, tb etc : )

And her ult is imo one of the best ultis in the world. I remembering playing versus a keeper, bombardier and chipper team. And 1 ult, and all their ulties deal 0 damage all put together. Even with just a mystic westment, astrolabe and steamboots, she can tank all that damage long enough to tank it for her team. Shrunken and nullstone, and she along with her team will be indestructable. (unless succubus, tempest, hb etc.)

Pretty borderline, rather OP than UP imo!

Basically a difficult to play hero unless you only want the stun in which case there are many easier, more effective hero's to pick. All the other skills require expert positioning and timing to be of benefit. Originally used to be able to farm decent items to make up for the positioning weakness...

Dancefloor now does 60/120/180/240 damage to a wave of creeps (and heals creeps) 30/60/90/120. It is still strong against a hero assuming you can get them not to move.

Before the nerf you could farm a full creep wave with dancefloor rapidly & efficiently. This helped get items (shrunken). Now it takes forever to farm - dancefloor doesn't clear a wave as quickly = longer time in lane to be ganked = no shrunken.

Nerfing dancefloor took an above average skill and made it essentially average (VJ, DS) etc except that units have to stand still to achieve the effect = a bit weaker in many ways.

This is why Rhapsody stopped being picked as much, and why hero's like Monarch are a little stronger.

PROS : Very good early game stun, Ulti (very strong) which will result in her being the focus until silenced, killed or stunned. Hardly any hero's who can do that....
CONS : Short range vamp, dancefloor which requires everyone to stand still to benefit, positioning sensitive hero who melts if you get it wrong.

Essentially she is still not bad, but I personally think
    a) Spellvamp should work on creeps. This way dancefloor can be used to farm again, but it means you need to level both earlier

^ Spellvamp on creeps would be insane. A Torturer would be unkillable.

Something else: Has somebody tried skipping Dance Floor in favor of the aura? Stun + extra magic sounds impressive on an aggressive magic lane.

the passive is awful. otherwise shes fine.

I am amazed at people only talking about her ult. I barely bother taking it. (at lvl 9)

You complain about Jera being superior, wtf? They have a completly different role
Jera (and pretty much everyone else) has a battle heal, instant and weak/singletarget. Rhapsody sustains her whole team indefinitly with a powerful HoT.
She's not great in teamfights, but amazing at hit and runs. Get a mana ring and she can just spam her heal forever, keeping everyone full life/mana, while the ennemy is still half life.
When I play her my team usually just sit under ennemy towers not giving a fck, while the ennemy watches us destroy it without daring to approach, since my heal is 24/7 all over the tower.

I am also pained at reading she has no lane presence. I mean wtf, her harass is completly insane. A stun at lvl1 + a few autoattacks wil take half the HP of the target, wasting his healing items in a minute.
Everyone in this thread seems to see disco inferno as a weak heal... Stun+Disco deals a completly imbalanced deal of damage. Just time your stuns right to get the most of it. Even at lvl2 it is sick.
If laning with a stunner, it will be even more ridiculous. Get a fast mana ring and rock the lane.
Her heal is also pretty fun to counter heroes you see coming. Elec is sad when he grips you inside your disco.

Her spell vamp is meh. We rarely SEE the actual effects and the aura is way too short.

I find her ult meh as well. Farming a shrunken is just a waste of potential and transforms you in a walking ult. Everyone seems to use the ult as a dumb "huehue everyone is invincible" initiation. I use it on the contrary after the initiation, when my team is going to die.
Countless times have I saved teammates running away at 1 hp. Fun counter to Salforis/Slither ultimates too.

All in all, I find Rhapsody borderline OP. The "nerf" didnt do anything but reduce her farming ability. She is still amazing at pushing with allies, not because the creeps are invincible but because you never back. I always laugh when we take all towers + raxxes on a lane in a single push, always being full hp/mana.

she's fine. Dancefloor had to be reduced in power, it's power in push and anti-push were absurd, similar to MoA's acid.

Nymphora can do the exact same thing
    VJ with his mojo
Even shammy's heal is enough sometimes.

Before the heal nerf Rhapsody pushed insanely hard, she could take down towers all by herself if left alone, it was not nearly comparable to the other heroes I just mentioned. The HP differential was something like twice that of Soul Reaper's judgement, absolutely retarded. But now, it's more in line with other aoe healers.
    Working as intended IMO.

All the character needs is an increased cast range on DI because as it currently stands she almost has to put herself in danger to slap that down in team fights and other intense situations.

Demented Shaman has been able to instantly kill enemy creep waves (and even catapults) and heal his own back to full for ages, but nobody's ever really noted that as being an issue. Food for thought.
HONOR- If you need it defined, you don't have it.

He can't do that on 2 concurrent waves, and it takes a lot of luck in the bunching to "instantly kill them".
