Fine as is
Ignore text and voice chat
Ignore text, voice chat and map pings
My problem:
Currently, when you add someone spamming you or just being abusive to your ignore list, it just stops text. When they realise you've ignored them, they start abusing you/yelling into voice chat, so you then have to block them on that. Then they ping spam and as far as I'm aware there is no way to block that.
My suggestion:
Adding someone to your ignore list should also mute them and block incoming map pings.
This would definitely ease frustration caused by playing with someone who's only goal is to grief without being banned.
I also feel that banlisting someone should also ignore them, however I use my banlist perhaps more selectively than others and this may not be a very good global solution.
Feedback and improvements on my idea appreciated.

Agreed. Bump.
In fact, any option to disable someone's map pings at all would be brilliant.
I agree on this idea. Not that I ignore that many people, but the one's I do really deserves it :-/

I ignore folks liberally, and I wholeheartedly support this.

A ping cap would be more efficient.
Ie. 10 pings in the first 10 seconds, decreasing by x per 10 if continuously pinging, if it continues a ping mute is enforced for y minutes.

Havn't voted, but i think a better option would be when you mute voice it mutes ping.
