I played against a lot of heros mid but the one that bothered me the most was kraken... What is a hardcore counter on a mid kraken???
Slither trashes every melee.

I play mid Kraken pretty often, too often to my liking actually but there are not that many heroes that are straight up hard counters for me. Chipper and Voodoo can do alright, Midas aswell and Torturer is pretty great if played correctly. Fayde won't get much farm but he doesn't need much anyway as long as you control the creeps enough and control runes you'll be fine. Just make sure that you got enough hp to last his combo as he hurts like hell.
most ranged with an escape of some sort should go even against him.other then that it's just hardcore harassing like you do against any other melee.
kraken is a beast against other melee heroes.
some equally beasty opponents
elec
phara
zephyr
ramp
ultimately comes down to avoiding eating his splash damage. kite him if he wants to plant it on your face, back out of AOE if he puts if on creeps.
Tort, and Nomad if played well.
