Less time you spend moving from lane to jungle to another lane more time you spend killing creeps and getting additional gold.You don't need to lecture me on how Blink helps you farm. I get it: if he's in lane, and you try to gank, he will blink away. That's fine. But it doesn't clear the waves faster, it doesn't give him money that much faster, and he'd still need to have to help his team out pre holy **** gear.
Blinking from triple stacked camp to triple stacked camp with your 15 min battlefury. Less walking = more time farming. It's quite simple.
I'm not going to go looking for replays, but, here are some stats from Dreamhack Winter 2011.But you know what? I haven't played HoN really well in awhile now, so maybe I'm missing something. Anyone have a Professional VOD of a Magebane proving itself broken so I can watch it and maybe agree with this?

More than anyone else. So that is the top players stance on Magebane, apparently.
It's also worth nothing that Blink lets him farm more aggressively and in more dangerous places than would be possible for a hero with no escape mechanism.

Early game carries and their vicious snowballing capacity is one of the fundamental flaws in HoN right now. Heroes of Newerth is in a pivotal point in its lifetime. As it stands the hero pool, which ultimately shapes the metagame, is split into two groups. One group containing the older heroes who are more reminiscent of Dota and the latter group containing the newer "S2 originals". The former of these two requires a slightly more calculated and passive farming play style whereas the latter needs a more openly aggressive gangking play style. The big question is simply in which direction S2 will choose to move the median? Either that or that will release more tree textures -.-
tl;dr HoN metagame is ****ed. S2 needs to choose where it's going to place its median of balance. Closer towards the new S2 heroes or closer towards the more Dota-like heroes?

OP make some big mistake here, HoN and dota metagame is ALOT different due to smoke of deceit and unique HoN tanky heroes
lonedruid (wildsoul), antimage (magebane), lycan (warbeast) is same as zephyr, RA, kraken in dota, they are either banned, or 1st pick, and if u think they didnt snowballing and win games u didnt play dota long enough as i do.
plus, even without smoke of deceit and shift back to old metagame, comparing S2 current melee tank to old dota RANGED tanks (necrolic, medusa, lightning revenant/corrupted disciple) is lol ---> S2 tanks win game in 30 mins, dota tanks win game in 60 mins
if u nerf / worse case removing RA, zephyr, kraken, tremble etc (heroes that u refer as S2 tank), the "old dota" heroes u mention will dominate HoN easily
I transfer from dota to HoN 3 months ago, i seriously dont get this "HoN suck, dota balance" whines, HoN player just nid to learn how to abuse void talisman + table command against melee tanks....
Don't forget Silhouette. She is up there as well. One of the most insane farmers, has AOE stun, 2 forms of escape (both of them disjoint) and an insane steroid.
Seriously, carries shouldn't have so much utility / early game. I mean when carries outharrass supports by exchanging blows with them early on, you know this game has a problem. One way to fix this is to give ranged carries shitty early level base game, much like how Flint is.

They did fix it for the most part. The worst offenders (Sil and PM) both had their auto damage nerfed until it stopped being completely ridiculous. I think it's largely in a good place right now. Carries could be argued to be categorically overpowered, but fact of the matter is, ranged carries need to have a strong early game to compete with the melee ones (incl. those 'tanky dps') at the moment.I mean when carries outharrass supports by exchanging blows with them early on, you know this game has a problem.

I think removing the 60 minute farm fests is a good thing for the game, but they do need to sort out the heros that current do not fit in the sped up meta and also do something about tanky dps heros.
faster game = good
heros carrying with red boots and a hotbl = stupid
I believe gemini can easily contest with these main 3 in his current state, gemini's ultimate allows him to farm multiple places like tremble, but faster, and even use the enemy's jungle safely once aquired a good amount of health, his early game damage is extremely high due to all his nukes nuff said
