Dumb outdated rules, first of all if you're going to insert a backdooring rule, you should make it one aimed at backdooring. As such, you can't chase into the base to kill someone with say a bloodhunter under those rules. Astrolabe can only be used effectively with 2 on the team, generally only 1 however. And mass puzzlebox is age old - not to mention any heroes really warrant buying them right now.Entering the your opponents' base without a creep wave is NOT allowed
These rules can change at any time. It is the players responsibility to read and stay up to date with the tournament rules.
- 2 Astrolabes per team
- 1 Puzzlebox per team
pretty sure theyre only referring to killing towers with the 'dont enter without creeps' rule. I can see how you could assume that means dont chase kills either though, reword it imo.Originally Posted by Glorify

If you think the rules are "dumb" suggest a change we said that they can change and we will change them if the community thinks we should do it.
Regarding the backdooring rule, it is referring to towers only.
We had all the rules in our last tourney (except the backdooring one) and no one complained. What are you're suggestions, since I'm not sure that I understand them, remove puzzlebox rule and astrolabe rule?

Remove the backdooring rule, I can't even begin to imagine why you'd put it in.
In your last tournament how many games were won because of backdooring? none? Certainly none in the semi finals or finals.
You can't possibly think it's imbalanced it just looks like you're trying to mimic honleague which is retarded because honleague is retarded.
I wasn't trying to mimic honleague, but all DotA tournaments, but when I look at it the way you put it, it is retarded to have that rule. We should be different and if it become a problem we will make the rule. I'm removing it!
@Pantera, I think a bigger controversy would be to blame someone for backdooring and proving it, than the backdooring itself

Every poll thats ever been taken has been hugely in favor of allowing backdooring. The "controversy" is from the same people who who make threads about how arachna is an unkillable god and barbed armor needs nerfed.yes thts true fenald..but you never know..all the controversy tht surrounds BD just makes you want to leave it out .

Tournaments that allow backdooring is far between and usually not very good. But hey, wait till you see Ophelia or Whisp helm dominations take down your towers. (Ophelia at around the lv6 mark)
And no, I dont think Arachna is a god or Barbed armour is uber OP.
Altho this makes this tourny not attractive to me and I guess alot of the old dota crowd, who actually know why BD is illegal most of the time.
ive only seen bd allowed in a few of the asian dota tourneys. not a fan of it. usually becomes a problem in the games that last longer, or a game where a team loses a raxx early on but can still make a come back. then people start getting back doored, one team has a better 'backdoor hero' than the other, rage ensues, **** talk(always encouraged by me) etc etc
How is this any different than a team having a better late game team and the other team not ending it early?
If the team who lost the rax early didn't want to lose they probably shouldn't have lost the rax early.
