you should really import spectre the model seems really simple it seems + not alot of effects to do ;D
I've already thought of Spectre, but as I have work, my only real free time is during the weekends, and I'm still busy with Illidan. So, I don't think she'll (Spectre) be around anytime soon. Well, at this rate, I'm inclined to say Valve Time.![]()

these are the dota heroes that i think look the best
(Edit: i'm using 2d hero portraits right now. does axe have the dota 2 portraits? i like these high qual portraits that move when you do an action more than the hon portraits)

If you just want to see it in-game, you can just press the export button, just be sure that the materials are assigned properly. Then you have to set the time range for exporting each animation clip. After that, you would need to modify the model.mdf file (look for file="filename.model", change the filename to whatever you named your model, delete the high/med/low unless if you plan on porting the lower poly models. Then, just tweak the material you assigned your model to and that should be enough for testing.

I'm not sure what you meant by that, but Axe has a proper 3D portrait which I positioned as best as I can (tried to make it with the same camera view and angle as the portrait he has in DotA 2).
If you were referring to the talking DotA 2 portraits, then no, that is beyond me, you could go to suggestions for that, but I doubt it'll happen as it is too much work for them with too little reward.
The talking portraits in DotA 2 is done by their choreography system, which I have no idea how to replicate in 3ds max. The thing is, even if I could extract each animation for each voice clip, it'll only work if HoN starts supporting multiple/random portrait clips which will play a defined voice clip.

S2 should make Customs maps for validated accounts only and let the community create maps for people to play.You would see a lot more accounts becoming validated. TD maps,Hero Defenses, Survival maps AND SOOO MUCH MORE could be added to the HoN world.S2 underestimates how popular and sustainable HoN would become if they supported custom maps.It would bring a new player base back to the game and many more validated accounts.

why the hell do we need dota2 models in HoN? o0 if u wanna play dota2 go for it ... and dont destroy hon with dota2 mods :/
HoN is not going to get destroyed by optional downloadable Dota models. Remember that HoN has over 60 Dota Heroes so it is partially a Dota Clone. It totally makes sense to have Dota models I mean even S2 games ported models like the minotaur (Earthshaker), Magnus Alt (Sand King), Flint's Alt (Sniper) and many many others...
So... Don't blame modders who do exactly what S2 games does.
