    Col gaming situation?

what do you guys think about the whole col gaming situation? the full log is here:
    http://www.reddit.com/r/HeroesofNewe...ast_col_drama/

i personally think it is horrendous that breakyCPK lied to col when discussing the remake, and the chat log seems to make it very clear that he was misleading when speaking with independent players about whether to remake the game or not.

Maybe im missing something, but it seems very clear to me that breaky heavily manipulated the "independant reviewers" into choosing the option he decided was best, instead of letting due process take its course with as much information about the situation as possible.

im especially upset because JAH' has been a part of hon for so long, sux for him to get shafted like this.

What do you guys think? I would certainly like to see if there is a different perspective to what happened!

Although coL is probably one of my favorite teams and i feel sorry for them about the whole situation, I find it hilarious how hard s2 is trying to cover it up.

The way Honcast dealt with this situation makes me furious..

    Lolwut

I was never so angry at Phil and Breaky.

tbh s2 should talk serious business with the honcast admin (breaky and phil) to apologize to the exCol team AND to their sponsor because their shady **** probably costed them the sponsorship and DHW. Not saying this will help them get back their sponsor but it would they should at least try to set things right.

MAN UP S2 AND THELL THEM SHADY HONCAST GUYS HOW U FEEL ABOUT THEM RUINING THE COMPETITIVE SCENE!!

despite phil coming across a little harsh on casts, that part 3 of the "story" made him look pretty good imo. he says what he feels like regardless of how that may sound like, however it seems he does have a fair sense of reason, politeness and justice which i cosider key atributes to have as an admin.

as it looks like he was just beeing withhold key information on purpose by breaky, systematically over a significant amount of time in order to make him call "false" decisions. which seem absolutely legit if you take into account what information he was given.

tl/dr breaky as good a caster he is, is unable to admin

Seems like you missed the part where Phil, after taking all responsobility on himself and apologizing to PIG, the next day walks up to the Complexity Gaming #1 Jason Lake to slander their HoN team and giving them good reason to deny their team the trip to DHW. This implies there was a whole lot of stuff Phil held in with in the discussions with PIG and rest DWI.

I just read all of the stuff on Reddit, and my impressions after are FOR phil/breaky's decision.. I see no basis on how anyone can blame them for following rules.

Even in the argument with Phil, its clear Phil is speaking facts.. and your threatining about posting logs (logs that i read), that have nothing against Phil. Idontgetit :/

Can't believe someone wrote all of that, to no success.

Also not to mention how easy it is to create false "documents" With copy and paste. Be a real man post screen shots of chat logs instead of merely putting them out of context.

Breakycpk get all kind of **** throwed at him everyday from hon community, why should he bother to listen to these threads?

Seems like I missed it as well. All I read was that he said things that were "not pleasant to hear", which I imagine was most likely to the effect of:

"Your HoN team were not happy with a ruling we made and decided to publicly ragepost about it in the forums"

I mean he could have slandered coL too, of course, but thats not what the chatlog says.

edit: Another conceivable "not pleasant to hear"-thing:

"One of your players called Breaky 'DonutCPK' in gamechat, we gave them a warning and we would appreciate it if you talked to them about the situation because we seem unable to get through to them."

tldr: dwi QQ because they got smoked and tried to nerd-magnify some creep kills and a hero kill into a remake

Well I obviously don't know the exact words but from reading it Complexity says that those words completely changed the whole situation.

[10/28/2011 9:04:39 AM] Jason Bass: Josh we had every intent on sending you up until last saturday
[10/28/2011 9:05:53 AM] Jason Bass: then last saturday Phil and someone else specifically pulled Jason and I aside in person and told us a lot of things
[10/28/2011 9:06:01 AM] Jason Bass: that were not pleasant to hear

There a number of other lines implying that HONCAST/NASL admins played a great part in changing Complexity's picture of DWI, but you say you read them yourselves so I won't bring them up here. Of course there is no way for anyone except the involved to know the exact words, but if they were the difference between the trip and no trip I allow myself to doubt it was some objective words about one forum thread where frustration over a gamebreaking bug was ventilated.

It is however sad that all we can do is speculate, I'm hoping for Honcast's side of the story so we can get a less one-sided view.

Sure, and I don't really doubt that there was a conversation where complexity's minds were changed during that conversation(and have a hard time believing that it was just "oh they told us they were undefeated" but then again I wasn't there so maybe it did go down just like that).

All I'm saying is, depending on how much they care about their image it wouldn't necessarily take straight out slandering on Phil's behalf to get them to drop the team. Maybe he did fabricate some stuff, but I imagine a team publicly raging at S2/Honcast/admins at NASL and even going so far as to insult Breakys appearance in chat of a game that 10k people+ will watch would be enough to question whether or not you want to keep that team around. In fact, forget the rage post- I could totally see a sponsor ditching a team just over the "DonutCPK" remark(especially if that team is already disconnecting themselves from the rest of the organization to begin with).

That's why I find it questionable to assume there was flat-out slandering going on in that conversation.
