Okay now don't sit here and tell me the obvious, we all know "macs" aren't for "gaming" or even, "check the mute." No its not those, i played on a mac the entire time, and now after the last patch, my sound doesn't work. Nothing is muted. I can hear mic voices, and talk just fine. I just can't hear in game or lobby noise. Help?
When they updated the game recently at 2.2.2.1, they didn't anticipate the numerous players on the new Mac OSX Lion. They have yet to find a new way to encode audio so that there would be no error in Lion. You will find that if you have Snow Leopard, the audio will still work with the most recent game patch. But the few that have Lion installed, are out of luck. I also read somewhere that S2's employee who is a Mac Whiz just recently took a hike (hes gone), so they're kinda in a sticky situation with finding another replacement. For now, just play without sound, but good luck.
Knowing how this game can me, audio is probably a great factor in awareness in this game.
