When I was a kid basically Swedish Television breadcasted Pokémon, Digimon and Sailor moon every saturday along with some other ****. As a kid I had nothing else to do 8-10 am every morning. Plus it was awesome to watch Pokémon, and that was the last one.

So I have been reading this thread and I thankfully finished that **** bad anime series fate/stay night, and i began my adventure to Clannad. After reading some of the comments on episode 8-9, and after I had watched those episodes I felt trolled. Is it me that have no sad emotions, or are you guys some really touchy girls? Because I just don't get it.

How can you say that Fate/Stay Night is a great anime? That main character, Shiro is so dumb! And the animation of it is so sad that i just facepalm and pull my hair in frustration, even if the anime is pretty new. I guess that some of the hate is mine, but mostly Shiro! arghh!

Steins;Gate is one of the best series I have seen this year. Full of win.
The movie is pretty good actually. And Shiro is less dumb there. (Cuz it doesnt focus on Shiro+Saber anymore)
Ano hana was amazing. even when the story started on a way I didnt like much, it was still satisfactory.
The only thing I cant still stop thinking is why the hell this crazy studio had to call one of the girls "Anaru" (anal).
I was hoping to lol hard when all the guys go " I like Anaru ". ROFL.

well I don't think episodes 8+9 were just sad because of something obvious. to me, it was upsetting because of the overall helplessness you had toward fuka. you can't help it to feel sad because of what was happening to her. so if you felt nothing at all, then yes, you have no soul

Well I don't rememeber the name (I think it was Desu desu nippon tokyo ninja) but there was this one anime that has this spikey haired protagonist who is wearing clothes made mostly of belts and parts of a full plate armor. He has a sword that is shaped so that it is would seemingly break if it comes in contact with anything. He is very energetic and positive but his best friend is cool (as in sunglasses at night cool) but has a dark past so he just broods a lot. Has a dark shadow sword.
Then there was also a one dimensional female character who speaks like she would have been breathing helium for two hours at any given time. This trait can also be found in the HILARIOUS (as in fast forward until the character is no longer on the screen) slapstick sidekick who is completely unnecessary. The female protagonist wears clothes that have been designed by a horny manchild. She also is in this praying pose in the intro sequence, with a tear flying out of her eye.
They try to stop this evil guy with long hair who is very powerful. His motivation for being evil is as follows: -
Also someone killed the protagonists and villains parents and they MUST BECOME STRONGER so they can defeat their enemies. There is a lot of shitty pseudo-philosophic dialogue that amounts to absolutely nothing since its just pretentious written vomit.
The animation mainly consists of recycled animation sequences, screen panning and screen zooming on someones face when their mouth has 3 frames of talking animation for 5 minutes. Basically you could've animated half of this stuff with PowerPoint.
Wait, this is every anime ever made. Nevermind.
Clearly you've never watched any anime genre other than shonen. And yes, they do have genres.
Fine, that's basically a target demographic, not a genre, but still...
