Halfway Serious was founded under the idea and goal of creating a team of mature individuals dedicated to synergizing each lineup while placing MAXIMUM PRESSURE on the opponents each match through extreme ganking, and pushing of lanes. We are looking for people who truly enjoy playing Heroes of Newerth and have a vast knowledge of DotA that will be incorporated into their ability to perform well within HoN. Individuals who strive to improve their game each time they play with the team.
That said we are looking for serious HoN players with a solid background in DotA, and a willingness to learn and compete on any of the highest levels.

General Requirements & Rules
18+ Years Old
Must have a working microphone, and ventrilo.
Stable broadband internet, DSL/Cable etc.
You need to have a SOLID understanding of all the items/hero abilities in the game. - Can't stress this enough very important.
- Rule 1 - Accept losing, its going to happen. Dont let a tough break or loss ruin your focus.
- Rule 2 - Always be open to change and new strategies and alternate builds.
- Rule 3 - Never use all chat during a game.
- Rule 4 - After dieing, NOTHING is to be said about the death except for important strategic information.
- Rule 5 - NEVER criticize or discuss strategy (other than setting up ganks and general teamwork) during a game. All strategic discussion will take place after or before the game.

I'll hit you up ingame, but i can't do those times. Too early for me and I have class/work from 6-830 or 5:00-12:00 respectively.

Lol... not like I copyrighted it or anything. And good luck with your team. Any team that's built which I had an influence in helping get started = good news for me. Perhaps scrims against eachother for practice, even!
I bet we'll have players of fairly similar calibur. I just hope I didn't take all the best from you yet.

Yeah, to be honest I have never made a recruitment post for a DotA/Hon clan before this and I just browsed some other posts and yours was very well laid out and informative. Once we have a solid core roster, sure we would love to have a team to play consistently.

well i had those stats before psr compression. i could give you some match ids to show you how my stats are kind of i guess. i can make most of the practices except tuesdays when i have class.

IIIReApEr is my gt hit me up on hon i'm on all day every day. I had around 550+ games b4 the reset and my k/d was around 1.6 and with the update in effect i'm at a 7.2 k/d.
What's the clan tag, and since the reset, there's no way anybody has 200+ games.
Bump - modified the basic requirements and rules area of the post to reflect upon the state of the game since the patch. Still looking for 2 more CORE members who mee the requirements.
I lol'd at the 18+ requirement. What's age have to do with it besides maybe being able to consistently be on at those times? =/

if playd dota for 4 years now and i know pretty mutch about the game.
And i was playing in a semi pro clan.
i was always support player but i can also be the strategist.
And the carry player isnt really that hard
if being playing heroes of newerth for 2 months now and i need to say its pretty easy when you play vs high prs ore low. its all the same.
the intense of the most people are just to be the hero and make the most frags........
i dont care about stats i only care about assisting and a killing i dont care if i make the kill yes ore no.
im 21 years old and i live in holland.
i use ventrillo skype teamspeak to communicate.
and i want to pick up this game serieus but i just need a chance.

I think i could be really useful and I have lots of competitive dota experience and many HoN games played as well. I play on a daily basis, usually with with my friends but now i look to play more competitive in HoN like i used to play in dota.

We've had many people who are under 18 tryout and have had many of them randomly...
Have their router/internet taken for incomplete homework.
Internet randomly DC's to find out they got grounded.
Had to immediately disconnect because it was dinner time and their parents are yelling at them.
The list goes on, being 18+ usually gives the freedom to make the time commitments to practicing that we want/need.
