Dear Community,
We'd like to get your opinion on whether we should implement a rule against nation captains for picking players from the same team - If so, how many do you think should be allowed.
Some nations have plenty of players high tier players to choose from where others may not have the same option. I'll add a poll to this thread shortly and if you can vote, then that'll be greatly appreciated.

Very situational imo. what you might want to achieve is that who ever forming the team will make objective decisions regarding who plays, helping him take such decisions is setting rules.
Also, it kinda take out some of the whole point of such a tournament.
not only it provide some kind of an unfair advantages but also the whole idea of mixing up players from different teams to play together loses its purpose.
Imo, and this is from a fan perspective, a nation team that consist of 5 players that play at same team makes this team irrlevant in this setup of tournament.

This is really situational. I think it needs to be up to the admins and decided nation by nation. It is pretty easy to realize the nations that cannot field 5 good players from different teams (ex. Brazil) and the nations that can field 5 good players from different teams (ex. Canada, US)
I don really see the problem, yes some countries might have a lot more competitive known players, so what?
Team roster of 10, you should be able to gather a team with max. 3 players from 1 team, and then use others. Doesn't matter if they're lesser known.
Some might say that, it is uneven then, but this is how other games run nation cups, so why shouldn't we? Some might even surprise!

For the top 10-20 teams in HoN it'll be fairly obvious to know who's playing with which team (aside from perennial clan hoppers black and kebap... shifty germans) so I doubt that'll be an issue, tankza is a great admin 8-)
3 for the "more competitive" countries (i.e. US/CA/Swe/Ger/RUS1/UK/Denmark, etc)
No limit for the other countries (Brasilia, Greece, etc)

UK too strong, needs to be split into England/Scotland/Wales/Ireland
It doesnt benefit the americans?
For the likes of Sweden, who have LION, for example, there should be a 3 limit. Top tier teams with players of the same nationality should also be included amongst this limit, however, for teams like Greece, Estonia, Scotland, Austria etc, just to name a few from your list, those countries with few stand out players shouldn't have a limit at all.

I agree that it is situational, but the standard should imo be 3. If there is a country where the amount of good players is very low like....belgium, then it just has to be different if they could participate at all.
