I could go down the list of the 15 or so heroes that are top tier, but beyond that the larger problem is the large pool of heroes that aren't even touched. I think HoN would be a lot more interesting if we buffed those heroes rather than just nerfing the next top tier hero. As well as new heroes that aren't just complete joke concepts but rather address needs or dynamics of the game that are lacking or existing ones that could be improved on. Geomancer, gemini, shadowblade, and blitz are some examples that make me cringe. Or items and changes to the game itself that would make the role of support more enticing to players.
Hell, why not just give a little extra silver coins to people that pick a support hero. I'm sure that would make match making a lot more enjoyable for the lower bracket where you would have 1-2 people on your team excited or willing to support. I'm also an advocate of items like striders and the new astrolabe that cater to supports. Not only that, I really wish items like frostfield plate, sac stone, and harkons blade were reworked. Maybe rework harkons into an item that also gives spell vamp (a dynamic which this game lacks).
There is my input. I doubt a single word of this will be implemented, but if you want a better game, maybe stop for a second and consider what I am saying.
Maybe this is why other competitors don't feel inclined to contribute. Because hardly any of the valuable input put forward comes to fruition in the game.
I'm probably the single biggest hater of Tempest on these entire forums, and even this makes me cringe. The reasons why your input isn't considered is because there is exactly zero ****ing thought behind the consequences of any of it.Reduce starting intelligence to 27 and Int gain to 2.9
Increase starting mana cost of elemental by 20

Power creep is an issue, but we still have to look out for the opposite.

Riftwalker seems like a decent enough hero.
Speaking of which, I actually like most of the new heroes that S2 has been pumping out lately. Things really took a turn for the better ever since Nome left. I really don't like hating on the guy himself, but the heroes that he was responsible for are some of the most godawful heroes out there.
I agree, Kinesis, Ellonia, Blitz and this Rift girl are interesting heroes, just too bad heroes like Gunblade ruin the trend. If we would have only the good heroes and possibly only one per month/3 weeks, the game would be more interesting. Heroes would settle and we would see more of them in the competitive scene.
Kudos to S2 for finally releasing an alternative to Mag/Behe.
GPM does not get reduced by buying anything, including consumables and wards.
Moreover, 50gpm difference at 15mins is 750g, yeah this cripples him so much. 5250 -> 4500. Huge deal, he'll still get his mana ring+boots of choice for that, or if he decides to go red boots he'll have an Astrolabe too.
Or if he goes the PK route he'll get his PK quick enough to make an impact.
Stats are like women in bikinis, they are interesting to look at however they don't show you everything.

Not with a bang but a whimper.
You're not the only one (not that I mind it)
I have a tendency to do similar things without being quite as right. I remember one of my friends had glanced at the Flint thread and was reading my post before he saw who wrote it, was thinking "why is this person so angry and so right", looked at the name, and realized that it made sense. I tend to be very blunt and so on when I am debunking points, I'm not good at being nice and subtle about it.
On the other hand, spouting out random numbers (seriously, how did you get those GPM changes) deserves some disrespect in my mind.
Pharaoh's ulti is also an AoE stun, has like 3k range, and stuns for longer. Pharaoh's other 3 skills are also a lot stronger than Gun Blade's.
GB's shield and passive are a little on the weak side as well. I find myself going the same build every match, or he doesn't produce the numbers needed to have much of an impact on a game. Only things I would like to see is that GB's passive deals 0/50/50/100% damage to creeps (so that he has to choose between survivability and CS). As it is, if GB fails at ganking and staying on top of things, he's ****ed. Missing one kill can lead to GB falling off. If S2 wants to keep it so that it doesn't affect creeps, either lower the cooldown of the ulti, increase the range, or make it cost nil. His passive and his ulti are his two major problem skills as of right now.
>Gunblade
I will ruin you. Gun Blade was my favorite hero released since original Tremble. He just sucks right now.

I'd like a small tweak to his passive and maybe a cooldown reduction on his ult, but nothing major. He has a strong initiation especially considering the armour reduction of his ult when combined with his Q.

Riftwalker looks fun. Q+R for sneaky initiation but risky in case you don't land either. Definitely feels nice to have some synergy among the skills, but not enough to make it feel forced. Definitely looks like a blast to play and asset to her team.

People on GD were complaining about the high visibility of cyber valk's javelin. What do you guys think of that, balance wise?

Visibility levels of the old Javelin (which glowed like a mother****er), or brighter?

Personally i think that skins should be disabled in Tournament mode. Over time we had few problematic skins already like many times mentioned SS skin having "strange" animations, MK combo bug being related to his alt avatar IIRC, fallen Valkyries arrow looking very similar to her ordinary auto attacks, female Pyro's stun having harder to notice cast animation, ignite being harder to notice on bird Ra, female Torturer also has "better" animations. And i'm sure that i have forgotten/missed some of them.
Oh good so it wasn't just me thinking I'm seeing all of that stuff. I was beginning to think it was because I bought a new monitor, glad that's not the case.
*****es don't know about the secret 2x damage bug with Golden Pebbles.
