I've been playing around with every hero in the game and they all have a unique dynamic. I love the game so far. The hero that caught my interest is Corrupted Disciple. I was wondering if anyone can link or point out a guide that I can read...
The basic idea is that he needs to be mobile and tanky, so that he can survive long enough to get charges on conduit. Conduit is his most important skill by far, correct use of it will make or break your game.
Items would go like: steam or ghostboots/hotbl/frostburn/bkb/demonic/frostwolf/geo/heart/luxury
helm and frostburn are must haves for me, good stats and movespeed boost, helm gives you good health boost. After that just pickup what you need, you'll generally want a bkb, but not always, pickup nullstone if you need it against panda or something nasty.
You'll usually max your nuke by 7, conduit by 9, and get ult when you can. If you play against a melee mid, max conduit as fast as you can, no melee mid can survive against cd if you use conduit correctly. You can check my last game where I played mid against a zephyr and killed him twice in mid.
Corrupted Disciple is best played mid so try to polish your skills if your not good mid. Leveling-wise, I would max Q>W and get ulti whenever. Your Conduit is very low manacost so don't be afraid to use it to bully someone out of the lane.
Items: Ghost Marchers are my my preference, Steamboots works too but I feel like Ghost Marchers provide useful positioning when using Conduit and makes you super fast, thus boosting survivability. Get Helm of the Black Legion as a first item in most cases, then Shrunken Head. You could either go Frostburn(Icebrand first) or start on Daemonic with a Bulwark.
The guy above me has it right basically, but I don't like geo that much on CD and would rather a Savage Mace. It helps loads if they have evasion, plus it's awesome because it stuns through magic immunity and gives tons of dps. I would include Savage Mace in your item luxuries for sure.
hmm, I usually like at least getting firebrand into frostburn, not necessarily geos. The main draw is the movespeed boost, do you find that ghost marchers and his passive give plenty of movespeed to not need a firebrand based item?
Edit: Just play a game with cd, 10/1/high assists. Was against deadwood mid, very easy. Can't do much at level 1 or 2, but starting when at when conduit is at level 2, just throw it on him when he gets close. If he wants an auto attack war, you'll win. If he runs, just chase him back to his tower so you can drain as much damage as you can. I killed him twice in lane, was actually level 7 by the time he was 4. It helps a lot to deny your creeps as fast as you can when they're under half health to keep the wave close to your tower, at least on your side of the river on the hill.
For items I did ghost marchers/helm/frostburn/split into frostwolf/then savage mace. Never upgraded firebrand into geos, wasn't really a need to, but I do like the movespeed boost from it. Bulwark into demonic would have been good as well, but someone else on my team had one so I didn't want to repeat that.
If you're playing mid against a ranged hero, conduit won't have as much importance early on. Just level your nuke first, if you can hit them with the nuke while getting creep kills that's great. You might even get an early level of his passive if you're moving around a lot to gank, but certainly get at least one level of conduit early on (within first 5 levels, try to have at least one level of conduit). It can turn any battle in your favor, and the vision it gives on your victim is great and prevents any sort of juking or fog abuse.
