Idle thought: I wonder if there's a way to rework him slightly so that he's more focused on being an anti-caster. At the moment, the most punishing hero to pick against a team that relies on chain-casting is Vindicator, obviously. Perhaps there's a way to alter Balph slightly so that he'd be able to fill a similar role with a different focus?
Just the musings of a 1700, but still.
if u continue to make suggestions the moderator will close this thread XD and this will suck...
although i don't agree with this policy because a balance section SHOULD let people express their opinion (with arguements) about what must be changed in order to actually balance the problematic hero.
there are always good ideas among the trash ones and i've seen some very interesting solutions about balph's problems in this thread till now.
anyway i hope this thread will catch the attention of s2's balancing team :/
I dare say something is in the works.
Let me spell it out plain for you
Angry people complain about the things I do
I'm not changing direction, I'm stepping my game up
Maintaining my name, the same way I came up.
Truth is, I thought it mattered
I thought that music mattered.
But does it? Bollocks!
Not compared to how people matter.
You always say that![]()
The sign of lost Carcosa appeared in the air, paralyzing us with dread older than the very idea of time.
As we looked on in horror, the unholy sign dissolved into a lone figure, shrouded in yellow.
Have I ever been wrong?

Balance discussion should serve a problem identifier, not as a solution artist. That's really for S2.
I.E. This hero is too weak. His skills cost too much mana for his associated mana pool.
Solution 1: Give hero higher int base/growth.
Solution 2: Give hero lower mana costs.
A discussion is easily derailed by suggestions, and becomes a free for all where everyone puts in their little piece, which naturally gets ignored by everyone else who is trying to put in their own little piece. It makes a thread worthless.
