that is one of his many reasons. probly the best of the reasons he listed. it is true… a guy in a voice that clearly mocks gay people screams CHERRY POPPER. the line is directly offensive. the voice is indirectly offensive. thats why "unicorn stampede" is funny. it pushes it. however, making things… sexual… is over the top. not for me. i play alone. or with my girlfriend who could care less what i have on my screen. but i totally understand what this guy is saying…

I don't think you get it. There is nothing especially inappropriate about the Flamboyant announcer compared to the other announcers that should make him feel this way. Because he does feel this way for some reason, it seems like he should be doing an evaluation somewhere else in his life, rather than bashing the flamboyant announcer.
Perhaps he needs to be a little more mature, or he needs to educate the people around him about diversity? There's no reason he should feel that way when he's playing HoN. I certainly don't feel that way, and I rock the flamboyant announcer every game.
He never explains why he finds it offensive, just that "Waaaah, waaaaaah, someone might think I'm gay" alternatively "I don't like this sound". Not liking a sound isn't grounds for calling it offensive, so he never did call it offensive.
To clarify: In the past, there have been two groups of people who complain about the flamboyant announcer being "offensive". The homophobic nutjobs and the people who think gays will be offended/gays who are offended. The OP never clarified which group he belongs to.

You can disable announcers in the option menu.
Or, you know, you could just not play when you have family/friends visiting you. "Hey friend, thanks for your visit, hey, sit there and do nothing but watch me play! Woooo!".

I would imagine that it is extremely offensive to the homos out there. I find it very annoying and would love to have an option to disable it personally.
Why are voicepacks not just personal? If you buy the flamer voice pack then it should only work for YOU - not for everyone else in the game. This is what confuses me.
Tobias declared himself gay in another thread and is offended because of others's don't like to hear a *****y gay voice in hon, especially with others around.
Conclusion: S2 member acting personal about it. Professionalism!

I grew up in one of the biggest gay pride towns in the USA and I have gay friends I myself have marched for gay pride even though I myself am not gay.
I have tons of gay friends, I'm not homophobic in the slightest. I am pro gay marriage and I believe everyone should have the right to marry whoever they want.
It's about NOT ABOUT GAY PEOPLE, ITS ABOUT an ANNOYING Voice pack jeez.
