As of you all know, the idea of chipper came from DotA hero tinker (similar abilities and theme). Now when they thought about making an alt avatar for chipper, they must have remembered the old good bkb tinker (robo form).
Didn't Valve have copyrights for these kind of things?

Valve owns rights for everything, even stuff in warcraft 3 which valve has nothing to do with, it still has the rights...

What idea? His skills are nothing like Chipper's skills. And for the theme, do you really think that Tinker was the first model with the clunky mecha theme? Just look at Ork Stompas in Warhammer 40k.
