Can warbeast be played competitively, if so what is the difference between a want to be warbeast pro and a Real war beast pro.
Unless they buff him, he wont be used.
Hes only useful when in ulti form.
The problem with wb and what most pros agree on is that he is the worst jungler in the game and sucks in lane
TSoG ran him a couple of times, mainly in pushstrats.
Due to warcry multiplying their early damage by ALOT!
Warcraft is very mediocre carry
The more assassin's shrouds, the more assassin you are.
Funny how after a few buffs in DotA, Lycan is chomping up the competitive scene once again! (One of the best buffs, not directly to him, was neutral corpses no longer blocking neutral creep spawns.)
I just wonder ifis really that weak here or if certain other aspects in HoN are too strong.
I think most people who undervalue Warbeast are largely disillusioned.
Warbeast is a fantastic hero, but he's relatively niche. He's definitely competitively viable, tho.
To help you out on some application for the hero, I'll explain one of my team's strategies involving the hero:
Hellbourne side:
Top: Some solo hero
Mid: Warbeast solo
Bot: Tempest, Balph/KOTF, VS
Through the use of VS command aura (at lvl 2) + warbeast's Howl, Tempest and KOTF/Balph's minions can very easily push down two towers and then move to do a lvl 4 Roshan with 4 heroes (warbeast comes from mid) to ensure an extremely early advantage.
With token, you can all 4 push mid immeadiately after useing the same strat, then disperse the push, get wards up into the legion jungle, and gank back and forth b/w mid and bottom legion side while farming the legion jungle unless WB, Tempest, Balph and your solo have sufficeint farm to do the rest of the towers in teamfights (Don't push too early esp against strong teamfight teams (WH, JERE, BEHE, etc).
As far as warbeast on the mid lane, basically all you need to do is get a hatchet, 1 mana pot, 1 health pot and start a RoT. Use the wolves and hatchet range to last-hit if you are ever pressured and it should be an easy passive lane for WB at mid. Once you hit 6 you have the ability to pressure runes as well, but farming is most important and entirely possible.
It's an extremely effective pushing strategy (and unfortunately I can't give you all the information on the strat) but it should help you think of how to use WB.
