Heroes of Newerth NASL Season 2 Information
Today, in collaboration with the North American Star League, we are happy to reveal details regarding the upcoming NASL Season 2 Heroes of Newerth competition!
Eight of the world's best teams have been invited to compete for $40,000 in cash prizes, with the season premiere starting October 5th. The first week of the season will feature these eight teams pit together in show matches for $1,000 a piece before moving on to the regular season action, a 5v5 round robin tournament. The top four teams coming out of regular season will then be flown out to compete in the live finals of the NASL Season 2 from December 2-4 in Southern California.
All of the action will be commentated by BreakyCPK, Phil The_Thrill, and a few guest casters straight from the NASL Studios.

Emh, that's a pretty shitty prize pool for NASL.
Proof that LoL players are definitely brain damaged and have no clue what they're talking about :
Chronos was extremely bad early game and could only KS with his blink then blink away as he would die in 2 hits. Xin is like Pyromancer early game, can towerdive anyone once he gets to level 3.
A wonderful thanks to Excyis and mygeL for this op sig!
First, 40K eh? Even LoL throws more money into tournaments than this. Step it up S2 you are losing the competitive scene. Why would pro players stay here when they can move to LoL or Dota 2 for more money.
Second, it said there was 1 million new accounts created since the game went free to play and yet the average amount of players playing is roughly 10k more than before F2P at around 50-60k max. Nice BS stat you got there, either that or the people who made those accounts don't even play the game.
EXACTLY what HoN needs!
If S2 wanted to hide their statistics they would not implement the in-game player counter for everyone to see. Unlike LoL you have access to how many players are online at any given time.
HoN is doing great and I wish it best of luck ! Not everyone has 400 million dollars of investment from a chinese company and I'm happy with that, they can make whatever they want without getting pressurized by investors!
wow nice prize pool. even the starcraft 2 only had $100,000 for nasl.
SC 2 only had 100,000 and that's a Blizzard game, the prize pool is okay.
Other than that, interesting!
Edit: "Scarier" beat me to it...
I don't understand why every post by S2 gets burned to the ground.
We all love ESPORTS, more tournaments means more exposure to people of pro gaming, regardless of how this game stacks up to the others.
HoN isnt on SC2 or LoL's level eSport wise, give it time.
40k is amazing!
In the end, the prize pool should only be one aspect to look at when looking at an event and the NASL will bring very good production to the game and help make it even more entertaining to watch than it already is (in my opinion). So I see this as a fantastic move for HoN and I can't wait to cover this event and hopefully you guys enjoy the work we do for it, and good luck to the teams!
This is awesome. I wish both HoN and S2 games great success.
