I wanted to post a quick link to myhag guide on HeroesOfNewerthGuides.com.
I just finished it and I will translate it soon to fit the native format in this thread.
Suggestions/critiques very much welcome!
I would advise if you are confident in your timing only getting 1 level of flash and maxing haunt straight after scream and ult. Haunt does a total of 350 magic damage (basically it is a single target slither slow) and applies on EVERY target your ult hits. That gives you a huge area of affect slow and DoT in conjunction with your ults damage. You don't really need max levels of blink early on, you want to use it either to get kills or escape. Beyond that it is a great guide.

That's actually a good point Dawnbringer. I'll include a note in the skill build section. I didn't actually know for single target Haunt does more damage than Sonar Scream.
Still I think the optimal build is 0/4/4 or at least 1/3/4 just because the low cooldown/range on blink is extremely crucial imo.
I guess with 4/1/4/2 you would do 350 + 300 + 430 + 350 = 1430 damage. The only problem is ~500 of that damage is done over 15 seconds.
^its 250 for the second haunt, the ult doesn't deal the initial 100 damage. But 250 across their whole team isn't half bad. You also have to factor in the massive slow because your ult stacks with Haunt's slow![]()

I have good win rate as Hag in 1680 - 1800 psr games.
I level haunt at 2 as I play an aggressive mid. Find a replay of mine with hag - Hopefully decent. Works out for me as I know the limitations. I think also I get my 6 at 7 or 8 to compensate for my lack of levels in Blink and scream. Good guide I'll try alter my game-play to accommodate certain features that you have identified.
ta.
It really depends on your lane Good`Kient. The problem is that Hag is pretty fragile early on and since you are rushing bottle you aren't going to have any +stat items anytime soon. So it's hard to haunt and trade auto attacks against a competent mid.
Also you really need to level Scream asap not only for the harass but so you can clear waves/get the rune.
As for skipping your ulti I don't really agree with just because at level 6-7 you can get a haste rune/find a gank window and you are nerfing your gank potential.
The bottom line is different situations mean you optimize the hero differently. Not to mention hero match ups/player skill levels. You can probably max blink/stats and still win some games.
Hag has been played the same by 90% of top tier players for the last year or so. Max Scream, then Blink, ult when available, ditch haunt till 10 12 13 14 . Stat items -> Bottle -> Boots -> Treads -> PS and/or Chalice -> Nullstone/Puzzlebox -> Derp. RoTT in side lane for ninja solo pushing.
