I was going to add an all-purpose build, but it was definitely arbirtrary. Someone insisted on saying that HotBL and Headdress were core, and I couldn't argue with that until he saw the spotlight. Therefore, it is best for me to "point" viewers to what the strategy is by saying the best skill build, which is max out EQ, and from there they will make their own judgment.

I was gonna put the best friends section on the spotlight, but if u insist sir...

Enjoyed the guide. Balph is a really fun hero to play, even though he requires more skill to do the same amount of dirty work that other heroes do easier.
So rewarding though.

I heard that it messes up your game when you dl a patch, so I used some from the internet. Idk I thought it looked ok, maybe it's because it's small?

i love this guide! u gave me a new idea about an experimental build without the use of Hotbl ...

the order goes like this
1.:RingOfTheTeacher:
2.:chal:
3.:EnhancedMarchers:
4.:MysticVestments:
5.:SolsBulwark:
6.:Glowstone:
7. replace :chal: with :SpellShards:
8. then upgrade:RingOfTheTeacher: to :AbyssalSkull:
9.the order for the rest of uprgades is situational i usually go for :FrostwolfsSkull: cause of the nice hp

Well if ur laning, I can assure you that you will be mana deprived fast. And Steams...if you wanna go tankish, you might as well go Grieves for the armor and +damage to ur creeps. Check out some of my balph games...

For your Worst Enemies, I'm amazed you didn't have the big dog up there,

Both his active spells smash Balph's minions to pieces and since they dont use mana, they don't give charges to Hell on Newerth (last I checked anyway).

Also, I find Balph a strong pick against

Three active spells to get those Hell on Newerth charges up, and the minions work wonders at soaking up Plagues ultimate.
