Yes!
No, I posted why I didn't like it.
Guys, please explain why you would vote 'no'. I can't see why this is a bad idea. I'm going to change the idea of the remake after the 7:30 min mark to drpeckers idea. I need some feedback on this.
Remade the problem after the 7:30 mark
Uhmm, dude Sick ideasit should go the same for stats in public mode.!! obviously
but they better implement this!
I'm thinking its a great idea. Giefs incentive to tards that usually wanna throw the game away
Yes to the "Solution"
No to the "But what when someone leaves after the 7:30 mark?"
Reason is: It just seems to be pretty imbalanced that people would be able to gain more MMR by winning that 1 game than winning 2 or 3 previous 5v5 games in a row.
I still voted yes to the overall idea though.
Look out your window... It's a Tree!
Look in that tree... It's ME!!!
:madm:
Mine Time!
The Codex Nighthound!
Thanks for voting.
But Cannibal, can you please explain it more what you're trying to say? Right now from what I understand what you said you're saying that winning a 4v5 is unfair and winning 2 5v5 is fair? Winning a 5v5 seems normal to me :>
I totally approve this idea. This is the most productive post I ever saw on Heroes of Newerth forums.
As another user posted maybe the numbers need some tweaking but the general idea is great.
The only problem I see with this is that the opposing team gets angry with yours for having a disconnect but not wanting to remake because the highest ranked player in this team of 5 might actually lose all of his MMR gain after the recalculation. There should probably be a minimum amount of MMR to be won even after the recalculation. reducing/increasing the MMR by a percentage rather then a flat amount is a good idea. I also believe that there should be an in-game option for people to see how much MMR they will gain or lose after it has been recalculated.
If you enter the match with +0/-1 it will still be +0/-1, you enter the game in an unbalanced state and the normal balance is +0/-0, the -1 comes from trying to stop people with high mmr from pubstomping with his friend in unbalanced games.
About the mmr recalculation ingame. Someone already mentioned that, and it wont be hard to put a small bar next to the timer or somewhere in that area where you can see the mmr balance.
15 people leave when they get FB'ed.
This sounds like a great idea, I would really like to see this implemented by S2, it will really help to balance stuff out, good luck brah.
I think a good solution is.... if the team have leaver the score they could lose will be subtacted from the leaver... and the remain player could continue to play without waste the theyer mind![]()
Bump and a yes vote. This would make it so the enemy team would actually not gain as much from refusing to remake and therefor promote actual use of the remake option. It will also put a pretty fair dent in the OP's who join a match then quit after saying "I barely gain mmr here I might as well leave so don't piss me off"
I totally agree with this idea, but please also consider the "problem" some people have with getting a steady Internet connection.
It has (luckily) happened only once or twice that my PC completely crashed, but I would hate to lose 10 or 12 MMR just because the opposing team were griefers and ended the pause 3 times in a row.
That way 1 person becomes a leaver i.e. loses MMR and THEN they call for and/or pass the remake.
That would be horrendous of course.
