The beyond gaming organization has got to be one of the worst tournament organizers that I have ever dealt with. There have already been many complaints in regards to this organization i.e., limiting the team rosters to 5 people & having completely randomized seeding(this is why a bunch of unknown teams are already qualified). Both which are already very obvious organizational mistakes that I have never seen any other tournament do even in the very early stages of the competitive scene. Things like this should be unacceptable from a a amateur tournament organizer none the less from a professional one like beyond gaming. In addition to these failures the tournament also sets the matches up to have an 2hr wait in between the first and second match and 1:30hr wait between the rest of the matches making the tournament at minimum to be a 5hr+ dedication(for 4 games) not even including the time it takes to play the final match. In addition the brackets were not even out until 15 minutes after the tournament had already started!
In addition to the tournament being atrociously organized, the tournament admins are completely incompetent at their job. We played a match in this tournament against this team that were obviously trolls, from the very beginning of the game they were spamming amxzaku in whispers and all chat. When they were 5 racks down this team paused in an effort to troll us by wasting our time, we in response however unpaused as soon as it was up (they also tried to pause again while their throne was dying to megacreeps). A little while after our game we get a message from one of the tournament organizers telling us to replay the match because we broke the rules by unpausing. They then ruled to disqualify us and we spent the next hour and a half arguing with them after which they finally overturned their ruling (matchid: Match 57477564). Keep in mind this also delayed the already slow moving tournament because every single match has to wait for every other match to finish even if the team being waited on is on opposite sides of the bracket & won't even meet in the tournament.
Even though they eventually overturned there decision, any tournament administrator from any tournament that I've ever played in would never make such a awful ruling in the first place & the fact that it took them and hour and a half to re-review a 20 minute game is pretty staggering. These people are being paid to administrate the tournament and I would expect them to show at least show some degree of competency.
I am asking s2, twitch.tv, & anyone else who plans to run a tournament to please please give it to anyone except these guys. I have never seen this degree of incompetency from any tournament I have played in.

I have to agree with jah`. My team was on at 10 am cst because thats when the round that was not played last night. The team we were soppuse to pay in the ro8 was 3 hours late becasue the admins offered a 1700 team a 3 hour extension to play a match. That delayed the entire tournament and made many european players forfeit matches due to the incompetence of one admin to allow a team a 3 hour time extension to log on. I logged on this morning with the intention of possible playing 1 bo1s , 3 bo3s. I only played 1 bo1, 1 bo3, and the other bo3 against infs after we beat them in the first game they decided to ff because it was too late. We never even played the finals because it was 1 am cet. Overall this tournament has been run like a joke. My team waited 10 hours today to play four games that only took us 2 hours to play.
Honestly, it's bullshit that you have to wait until all other games are finished. We played our games as soon as one of the two opponents we were gonna play were finished - without any problems from admins or anything.
The limitation on 5 players per roster is also bullshit and (dunno if it's like that now but was when we qualified) the lagging website, holy crap. Firefox crashed whenever you tried to type something...

Solution - Hire [S2]swindlemelonzz - Pay him $1000 a month - Let him administrate all tournaments. Let MsPudding (she does all the work anyway) admin any issues that arise in games my team plays in (there won't be any, I don't cheat).

I don't want to reveal any more of my ideas in case someone else gets hired before me. Two years of HoN and I've yet to see a tournament with a prize pool under 40k to do 4/4 of the above, so it must be a lot more difficult than these admins are letting on!
The biggest problem in most tournaments is the fact that they have like 10 admins and none of them are on the same page.
