This mod simply replaces the 3d model of the hero portrait with a 2d icon.
Currently, many of the faces of the heroes are poorly modeled and textured. Oftentimes, the hero's icon looks better.
The image turns grey if your hero is dead, or green if your hero is an illusion.
2dHeroPortrait.honmod -- requires HoN mod manager

the purpose of this? to reduce load on your computer for better performance?
Many of the 3d hero portraits are simply ugly.
Personally, I prefer the icons. Others may disagree. The purpose of this mod is to provide that choice.
Technically, it would improve performance also, but the difference is negligible.

can u make a version for tiny ui?
Tiny UI uses a completely different portrait, with lengthier code.
Considering that the Tiny UI code can change at any time, it doesn't make much sense to make a Tiny UI version. Besides, the Tiny UI portrait is unobtrusive already.

This mod is awesometastic! The constantly moving models are both annoying and ugly, especially since they weren't designed to be viewed up close.
