So, after 2 hours of map editing i had to take a break, so I saved the map and closed the program. So far so good, but when i came back to start editing again i noticed that there were no custom maps to load. Now I've tried to save my map with different abbrevations and to save it over the test maps, nothing have worked. When I open up HoN to create a game I can see the maps named mostly as "untitled", a few savings is named their real name, but when I load them (in practice mode, yes) the loading page just freezes. So, how am I supposed to do to be able to save and load my custom maps in the map editor?
I've searched the HoN-map but they aren't there either.
I would really appreciate help!
(And for those who missed, I'm using a mac with Snow leopard)
Thanks for the response! But still, I can't find the place where the custom maps are saved (I've searched the whole HoN folder) and I can't load them from the map editor. They seem to disappear from the map editor and show up in the HoN client. Therefor I can't upload them here either.. But I'll try to put some entities on the map and see if it fixes the freeze problem.
You could try searching your whole drive for the map(name is the name you put when you created the map in the editor), maybe the maps are being saved in the Heroes of Newerth folder in your Documents.
You could also check inside resources0.s2z(just a suggestion)(idk if a program comes with Mac to open archives if not use 7zip)
Nothing in 'resouces0.s2z' either, the computer don't seem to search that kind of files and there are no HoN-related folders outside the HoN-folder in 'programs'.. Think I'll have to install windows and do it that way, doh.
