Restart Adium, go to File -> Add Account -> Heroes Of Newerth.

    As simple as that.
That's how I figured it'd work, it's just that the account type doesn't show up.

    Download this:
    http://code.google.com/p/honpurple/d...4.zip&can=2&q=

Unzip it into your pidgin folder.
Go to Accounts, Manage Accounts, Add
In the protocol list choose Heroes of Newerth, type your account name and password.
Go to Advanced and and change Protocol version: to 13.
    Click save.

Thanks to Mediocrity for the fantastic signature!

Could it be it won't work because I use the beta client? Let me check that later this week.

I think they've made an update on Protocol Version.
Theli can you confirm? As soon as I have time I'll try to check it out.

Is there any command equal to /afk ? I'd love if I can keep it running with my away message to be sent to everyone that whispers me.

funny thing is that first versions had dummy 'away' status and this was working ... though that was removed after request from one of users

    1. Unzip (probably already done automatically)
    2. Open the extracted file
    3. Restart Adium

Right, I got it to compile for 1.4.2b4 and 1.4.1. But both don't show a HoN account type. I think it's related to this compile/link error:
    Code:
honpurple.trunk.svn/osx/PurpleHoN/HoNWrapper.m:29:0 Implicit declaration of function 'purple_init_honprpl_plugin'
The nature of objective-C allows programs to just compile and link with errors like this, so that's why it isn't obvious of what's going wrong.

So, is there a similar function that I can call?

I'll give you the changes to the Xcode project I've made so far, maybe you can get the rest to work.
