EA, and What You Can Do About It...

First of all, I don't intend for this to turn into a thread flaming free-to-play players (I actually think HoN offering free-to-play is long overdue) or those who choose to support Early Access, even though it's something I personally don't agree with. What I want to do is make a case for the removal of EA in the best way possible to us.

First of all, let's take a little look at history:

• S2 promised taunts only to pre-purchasers and then made it buyable.
• S2 gave the gold shield to pre-purchasers, then made a new 'diamond shield' which was better.
• S2 promised access to all heroes to anybody who bought HoN.
• S2 said specifically that no in-game advantage would be purchaseable in game for $ (however you try to present it, access to a larger hero pool is an advantage).

This is not a minor list of issues, it's a pretty chronic case of S2 totally ignoring the wishes of the playerbase and instead electing to appeal to their pockets. So, I suggest that hitting them in the pocket may well be the only thing that will work.

The simplest solution is this, anybody who believes that removing EA is essential to HoN, stop buying gold coins, additional accounts, stat resets and name changes until S2 remove this ridiculous feature. Use the power which the market allows you, which is the power of boycott.

Anyone who agrees with me, just add this to your signature:
"I swear not to purchase a single premium transaction from S2 until the Early Access mechanism is removed from the game."

Please don't go kicking people for using early access, S2 will look to use that as a way to ban dissenters, and you're only hurting another player by doing that. The opponent in this is not players who disagree with us, but it's the lies which S2 continues to tell.

Lie. S2 never promised taunts to be only available for pre-purchasers. S2 promised taunt would also be achievable for non-prepurchasers.

It's a color. A color can't be better than another, unless it's orange. Orange is best.

it's certainly never a bad thing to have more to choose from, if the hero sucks don't pick it. If however the hero is tremble, don't try telling me it's not an advantage available for money.

He doesn't have to be better than every other hero, you need to consider banning pick and hero roles. It completely messes with the bans when one team has three good initiators to pick from and one has two.

Have you played 'Money King'? He is very very OP, and I reckon he will stay that way until he is nerfed for the Legacy audience. If buying an OP hero isn't paying for power then I have no idea what is!
