Thread: No sound since last patch.

    No sound since last patch.

    I've lost all sound after installing the latest patch.

    No music, no sound effects, no interface sounds, nothing at all.

    I've "Reset All" in the interface options menu. I've re-downloaded and re-installed the client. Still no sound.

    I had no issues prior to the last patch.

    Have you deleted teh folder where console.log is found (see my sig)

    That's where I was going with my "Edit 2" that I left blank above.

    Excuse my ignorance but I can't find a "console.log" file anywhere. I'm attaching a screenshot of the HoN folder for reference.



    And that's by taking a different route than the one listed in your sig.

    If I go ~/Library/Application Support/, there is no HoN folder.

    If it matters, I'm running Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.

    Updated to the new patch this morning; still no sound.

    Like the Linux user in the other thread, still at a loss as to where to find console.log as the path mentioned does not have a HoN folder or console.log file.

    The folder you are looking at is the place where you put hon, not where it then stores data

    as per the wiki
    Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Heroes of Newerth

    As per my earlier post, there is no HoN folder within my Application Support folder.

    That is where HoN writes its settings and that is actually hard-coded into the game.
    I am afraid I cannot help unless you provide the console.log

    I figured it out: "Mute sounds" was selected in my interface options (not sure why). And I noticed that hitting "Reset All" doesn't actually reset anything. I'm not sure if other Mac users have this issue with the "Reset All" button.

    Also finally found my console.log file but I guess it's not longer needed.
