Guy's, please, you are derailing the thread. I guess I have to update the guide with clarifications about boots so we wouldn't have to get into this debate againd. Also, my stats are nothing special, but plenty of people find that my guide works for them so the point is moot.
why is mock of brilliance not a good item on him? 40 dmg per second aura and you are stealth + the normal 60 dmg....
why is this not recommended

Mock is bad, because it completly negates the whole point of being invis, which is not being seen/noticed by the enemy. If they suddenly would start losing health, they would know that you are there and jsut get some wards/dust or w/e.
You wouldn't tie a huge sign saying "Hi guyz!!!" to your head, if you were a ninja/james bond/some weird guy who doesn't want to be noticed/etc

next, if you are playing a hard carry you will always get steamboots.
nh gets his survivability through being able to blink away, having his ult, and clouding.
he gets his chase from his ability to blink and slow. He has NO need for phase boots.
why do you think people stopped getting nullfire as much in competitive games when they buffed cloud?

maybe competitive games was the wrong word choice, higher tier games would be more appropriate (1900 psr+)
regardless phase boots are used to chase/position
nighthound uses his blink and his ulti to position, and his blink and cloud to chase
therefor, instead of buying something that lets you do something you can already do, how about buying boots that increase your health...

And backstab damage too! And hell, flicking it to int may just give you that last bit of mana you need to pounce-finish someone off.

awesome guide i only readed the half of the guide an i nearly won 2 v 5 game(lost because when we defended two lanes they would push the third lane) but just me and the other guy got 37 kills and they only got 13 kills
