Can't invite my friend to a match. Help?

Thank you in advance for your time.

I just bought HoN today along with 2 of my friends. I added them to my friends list and created a practice game. There is no option on the right click of their name under friends list to invite them and I tried to "/invite name" but that didn't seem to work.

How do I make sure my friends can join my match?

You can't invite to practice games. If you want to play with them, create a no-stats private game. Practice is for playing with yourself and figuring how how to use heroes etc

side note: they can right click your name, in their friends list, and click "Follow" , this will drag them to any game you create, assuming that the game you create isn't a practice match >.>

Oh now I see. Thanks for the tidbit, especially on the "no-stats" portion because I didn't want our games to mess with those.
