Are there any HoN heroes similar to my favourite LoL champions?

I just bought HoN yesterday, and I've been having a bit of trouble finding some heroes that are to my liking, (maybe because there's just so many to choose from). So I was wondering, if any of you guys played LoL, do you know of any heroes that I would like based on what champions I like?
My favourite LoL champions are, (in no particular order):
Rammus
Singed
Jax
Jarvan IV
Cassiopeia
Maokai
Gragas
Kennen
Nidalee

So if any of you guys know and could tell me of some heroes that are similar to those champions, it would be much appreciated.

Btw, I would ask the LoL forums, but they've actually censored, "HoN" and "Heroes of Newerth", and have been closing all threads related to HoN due to the recent forum spam coming from HoN players due to the $10 sale.

Legionaire is somewhat similar to Rammus. He's the only hero in the game with a taunt, he's sort of naturally tanky, has a charge which is similar to Powerball, and has a counter-attack skill, similar to Rammus' reflective damage. He's even a jungler, too.

Pharoah is somewhat similar to Jarvan, in that he has a gap closer and wall-in ability. He doesn't really do much damage, though.

I can't think of any other comparisons off the top of my head, but I'll edit this if any come to mind.

I know that fiddle sticks has a magmus ulti, ummm, Ash is like Forsaken Archer, the one guy who can throw an arrow in LOL is like Valk, and the on nuker in LOL witht the fire ult that shoots across the map is like Aluna.

Oh, yes, I've heard about Leoginaire. Just wondering, is he viable to play out of the jungle? Jungling in HoN seems so different than in LoL, so I don't think I want to try that yet.

I'm from LoL also, and I felt like Valkyrie was a mixture of Nidalee and Ashe.

She has no heals, but she has a really long spear throw almost like Nidalee's with an insane range, and stuns like Ashes arrow (scales with distance). She has a "pounce" like Nid's, it sends you in the direction you're facing, but goes about 3x the distance and adds move speed and attack speed to herself and near-by allies.

I haven't played even half the heroes yet, but I figured I'd share this champ with a fellow Nidalee-lover.

I tried it a little during the DDOS nightmare, but the only one of those LOL heroes I know the least bit about is Kennen, and she reminded me a little of Madman but it might have just been that one skill she has where you run through people to hurt them. Cause he's got that. Basically.

Rammus - Some heroes are similar in play style, but Legionnaire is closes since he does the same role - ganking and initiating.

Legionnaire has a taunt ability same as that of rammus and it gives you bonus armor, and has a charge that COULD BE said is similar to rammus' rolling ability (it's single target and you can't use it w/o a target, which means you can't use it for free roaming the map. Also, it doesn't slow, but it helps you close the distance). In stead of that shell that gives u armor/magic resitance/dmg return, you have a passive skill that has a chance to proc when enemies attack you, making you to spin and deal dmg to everyone near you...
Magmus has a similar ulti (makes more dmg in shorter time, but it doesn't do dmg to towers)


Singed - Panda has the same flick ability (tosses enemy behind you and slows the enemy + reduces his armor). Nothing similar to poison trail exists in Hon.
Fayde , with her new rework, has the ability which is similar to that slow singed has.


Jax - Predator has a leap strike ability (which slows), his ult is.... well could be say similar to jax's because it places a debuf on enemies around you, when you attack them you gain attack and movement speed (jex gets only attack speed if i remember correctly)


Jarvan IV - There are different forms of his 1st skill (dealing dmg in a line). Slither places a dot on all enemies in the line and slows them. Witch slayer stuns all enemies in a line. Aluna after a short channel deals solid dmg to all enemies in a line. Bubbles uses a skill called shell surf, which travels in a line to a great distance, and before it finishes, bubbles can pres the skill again to teleport to it's location (something similar to that when jarvan hits the standard, only you don't need to hit the standard with bubbles, just press the same key again).
Pharaoh has something similar to Jarvan's ult, but it can capure more enemies and the wall around you is destroyable...


Cassiopeia - Nothing similar in HoN i think... Sorry :/


Maokai - that knkockback ability of his, gauntlet has a similar ability, you just need to hit someone (not smash to ground) and all nearby units will be pushed away


Gragas - MIGHTEY GRAGAS (i loved that fat bastard ).
That barrel roll, a similar spell is used by bombardier , it tosses out a little timed explosive which can stick to a target (which is the point) or if you miss it will fall on the ground. Anyway, the longer it lasts more dmg it does and stun lasts longer.
Kraken (release the Kraken!!!) has the exact same skill as poppy, which could be said is similar as body slam...


Kennen - No similar hero in HoN...


Nidalee - 1st of all, most important, there is no hero that changes it's whole concept of play by using his ult and changing all of his abilities... BUT
Valkyrie has a a skill similar to javelin toss, damage is the same at all ranges but stun duration is longer further the target is (nidalee's javelin doesn't stun and dmg changes with range). Valkyrie also has the pounce (greater cooldown, longer jump, gives as/ms, costs mana).
There's only 1 hero that places traps in HoN (emerald warden - no img for this guy) and it's not similar to the nidalee's...



That's about it. I probably overlooked something, but that's to be expected

ADVICE 1: Test the heroes i mentioned in practice mode, read their skills and if you like one, try it in no stats games...

ADVICE 2: Start with some a bit more easy to play heroes. Like predator, witch slayer, armadon, bubbles and slither.
Predator is a tanky carry, i think you'll like that. Witch slayer is a support ganker. Armadon is a bit more tanky and a bit less carry than predator, but is also fun. Bubbles is a initiator ganker, has high mobility and survivability. Slither is just an annoyance, slows and dots are his kind of thing....

Anumu is definitely an OP version of Devourer, only difference is the hook pulls you to him.

Amumu is Pharaoh (hook pulls you to the enemy) + Keeper of the Forest (AOE root ult) + Soul Reaper (% based AoE damage around himself)

Anyway, re: OP. Try some of these in practice mode, and if you like their skills give them a shot in a game and see how you do. I'd recommend trying some HoN newbie staples like Plague Rider, Pyromancer, Witch Slayer, Myrmidon, etc too.

Jax players might enjoy someone like Predator , he's very similar in a tanky-DPS kind of role. Jumps on people, becomes magic immune (like spell immunity in LoL), reduces enemy armor and does bonus damage equal to up to 8% of their HP per hit. HoN's only other real LoL style tanky carry is probably Maliken , who's also not too hard to learn the basics of.

Maokai is a nuking hero who's naturally kinda tanky and also does decent melee damage. Try Blacksmith or HoN's own dead tree, .

Jarvan IV: Ever wish you could have a Jarvan wall whenever you pressed W? Play Pharaoh . Or if you're just wanting a tanky DPS hero, / as above.

Rammus: Legionnaire is most similar to him, as others have said, but I'd actually suggest you try Rampage with a tanky build. Rampage has a whole lot of stuns and naturally high HP/damage - and all of his skills are Physical type, so magic immunity won't save you from him. :3 If you can permastun the enemy carry with him, you can basically win fights for your team.

Nidalee players will probably feel pretty at-home on Valkyrie , as previously noted.

Kennen: No real equivalent, as far as I know.

Cassiopeia: is the master of DoT damage in this game, try him out. Unlike Cassio he lacks stuns, but his AoE is even more ridiculous (it's easily possible to hit all 5 enemy players with his ult, and 2+ with his poison spray)

Gragas: Tanky hero with powerful AOE ult. Strong laner and initiator. No real equivalent, but try heroes like , , , and maybe you'll find one you like. Closest equivalent is perhaps , who has the ability to push or pull enemy heroes around pretty much constantly. is generally considered a difficult hero who really needs to combo with his teammates, though.
