LOL, this DotA 2 Store is a ****ing joke.

DotA 2 goes free to play, with all of its heroes and gameplay elements open to the public.

This, in my opinion, makes DotA 2 the best of all the games. If everything you can buy is purely cosmetic (and with Icefrog onboard, I'm sure that it will be. He would quit on the spot if they started selling power), it will be the first ARTS to date that starts everybody out on even footing and keeps it that way.

Now bury these pay-to-win wannabes Valve.

the main thing about DOTA 2 Free to play is that All Heroes, will be available for all without any cost, also you can read all about it here:

He said the game would be free to play; Players with poor standing on steam may have to pay (which is the redemption item).

Don't mind the $12 couriers. Valve's system is admittedly better, but nobody can defend those ludicrous prices either way.

Valve have really nailed the F2P model with their store, I can see it being a big money spinner!

If you noticed they have the battle points on the account, pretty similar to HoN and LoL right? Yes and No and the No is big. When you level from your battle points you receive an item drop, a random piece of armour or weaponry that belongs to a set. You can then equip this.

This little difference will be huge for the store, as this means that everyone starts wanting to collect sets. Seen as you will be able to trade and sell items, the community is going to get very busy. I can see myself buying set finishers. The trick is pretty awesome, it is not a case of just buying custom skins, but making the models themselves totally customisable with armour and weapons. I am pretty impressed, Valve really show Riot and S2 how a business model can be majorly improved on.

1. is there a real stat system yet?
2. is the artifical delay fixed yet?

Well, it's 10€ for me, 6€ for some others. Normal items for a hero are around 2€.

All those don't affect the gameplay and all heroes are avaible. Prices for skins will always be ludicrous.

some prices are too much, well i believe all of them.
i'd pay 1$ per item max. 2-4 is too much, considering you'll have near 100 heroes and 4 slots for each.

Who wanna bet S2Games will make all heroes available for f2p account also? If not, i am 100% they will lose ~80-90% of their current player base ))))
