Really? Valve's servers might be better but not much better. In regards to "better programmers" - they're not. All large games that get updated frequently have bugs - even World of Warcraft with hundreds of developers. Valve might have more programmers but that doesn't mean that they're better.
I have almost all the items from TF2 and never spent a cent over the orange box.
They don't force you to buy gameplay content, everything is vanity.
And if you're going to argue that the TF2 drop system is like EAP, you're sadly mistaken, TF2's drop system is to keep players interested in playing, the cash shop is for people who don't want to wait for certain drops, thats the core gameplay of TF2.
EAP and Basic Account System sells gameplay advantages to a game who's core gameplay is about pure equality between players, to allow skill, not wallets, determine the winners.

Difference is valve isnt a "QQ WE LOVE OUR JOB LONG COMMUTE" indie gaming company.
They're a massive company, like blizzard, and when you have that kind of revenue being generated, there's less need to do stupid things like early access heroes.
Look at WoW for example, One of the only pay upfront-Subscription based MMOs WITH microtransactions on the market.
Do people still pay for it all? Absolutely. More than any MMO in the history of MMOs. They found services people didn't necessarily need, but in reality, they would need it to play with friends(server transfers, name changes, faction changes, race changes, mobile armory, mobile guildchat). If s2 could find services like this, people would pay for them in droves. Instead they offer us silly things like a purple name
Wll this is ****ing over now since Hon is not a balanced game any more.
Will wait for Dota2
My suggestions:
Key Binding - http://tinyurl.com/BindDemItems2
Remake votekicking - http://tinyurl.com/RmkVotekickingNao2
Ability to use item hotkeys while shopping - http://tinyurl.com/DemHotkeys2

well atleast Valve stay out of trubbles , look at s2 ddos attack for a month and then fixes the problem , never seen those kinds of things on valves products
QFT.They will take your money more than HON did.
Just wait until Dota2 is released, people going there for a month or two, and then come back to HoN.
99% dota 2 will not be f2p
100% chance dota 2 will be 100x better than hon. you are a retard if you think otherwise
good looks on posting the newly leaked changelog
"the official DOTA 2 blog has been moved to the sub-domain blog.dota2.com instead of the root domain that it used to be at (www.dota2.com). This can only mean that they are ready to make some updates on the site and create separate sections on it that will be separated with sub-domains (blog.dota2.com, forum.dota2.com, etc.)."
http://dota-two.com
They just uploaded EVEN MORE servers.

You can see some are labeled as (gamescom) and others localhost. I don't know what localhost is but maybe its hinting at LAN support??
You heard this here first.
