    That drummer is ****ing BEAST

That aside, my personal favorite is Septic Flesh. That is just some evil ****. Their newest album is just epic seriously.

this song might be a touch mainstream for osme of you guys,

    but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8e9ZMkCIrA8

its zakk wylde on the guitar, so its pretty intense, and the main riff of the song is just badass.

anyone else excited for the FFDP album out in a week?

I like almost everything metal, had not heard that song before and I liked it. Reminded me of a slow version of Mygrain without growls. :P

And I'm excited about the FFDP album, always nice to see good bands producing new stuff! :P Also excited about the Insomnium album coming pretty soon.
Stats are like women in bikinis, they are interesting to look at however they don't show you everything.

I'm super keen for both Insomnium and FFDP

The new Mastodon and Machine Head albums are both saweeeeeet listening too.

Blind Guardian came to Sydney the other day, and that was pretty friggin fantastic, although they had to cut off an encore (which I was looking forward to), still an awesome show/mosh.

And Soundwave 2012 gets announced tonight, don't know if that'l be any good or not....

    Thanks AvunaOs for the sig!

no matter what ive tried, i cant for the life of me get into machine head.

every song i give a listen just ends up sounding like they like it cause it sounds heavy, not because it sounds good.

Lol this is pretty much the first year we've had more than one good touring band for metalin the last few, I'm sure there's been/will be plenty in the USA for ya

Meanwhile, I'm just getting a tad keen for Bodom, Opeth then Soundwave

    Thanks AvunaOs for the sig!

got the FFDP album. its exactly what you'd expect from them (in a good way). the deluxe version is just some lame hip-hop-e versions of some of the songs, and are pretty crap tbh.

id def pick up the standard edition tho.

Will check it out! Also thanks for the hip-hop warning.
I still remember the traumas I had from listening to the track "Deathrace"(I think) by Deadlock and in the middle of the song they change it to some kind of shitty hip-hop junk.

New FFDP is pretty great; can't stop listening to "American Capitalist".

Also, Insomnium's "One For Sorrow" came out today as well and it's bloody fantastic, another great one by them.

    Thanks AvunaOs for the sig!

    Yeah they both friggin rock.
Don't really like "The Pride" that much, but theres a song like that on every album I guess

i quite like the pride acutally.

id like to retract my previous statement as well, the remixes for the pride and 100 ways to hate are both pretty good after a few listens.

the only songs i didnt like at all were the remixes for under and over it, and remember everything, and the tragic truth. everything else is p awesome.

One of the worst "metal" acts and one of the worst dubstep artists, ew.

Also Malaris: Fleshgod Apocalypse and Septic Flesh are so damn good.
