    Dark Lady a viable pick now?

    As the topic states, is Dark Lady a viable pick in competitive games now since she was slightly buffed?

    On an aside do most players who pick her forgo her ultimate at level 6-9ish in favor of her other skills?

    She has a slow that does damage, a charge for escape/initiation. Attack that silences + does a lot of damage (Especially at high levels). Her ultimate has always been pretty good, but now it slows them too adding in another utility into battles. At level 3 15% slow is a lot. 400 ms hero gets their speed reduced to 340, you go from one of the fastest on the map to slower then almost every hero that has boots.

    I got her in a -AR game and considering that was my 1st time to play her after the buff and second time ever, i did really well. Something like 12-5 k/D.

    I also think QUC showed a few strategy ganks that makes Dark Lady a great choice.

    Every single skill got buffed tremendously. Casting all 3 spells now costs <200 mana unlike the 350+ it used to. Her blink now has somewhere around +50/60/70/80% ias hidden.

    I'd say she's a better carry than most. Not quite as good as Pestilence. She's better than Madman now, in my opinion.

    Current Dark Lady competitive stats - 3 wins of out 3 picks.

    She has a slow + nuke with a short CD and 1200 range, probably the biggest in the game.
    She has a blink + nuke + attack speed...
    She has a 130% base damage + silencing attacks.
    She has a game breaking ultimate.

    You think or you know ?!

    definitely viable pick, especially against a heavy caster team. Your vision decrease makes it incredibly hard for them to ever focus on one of your heroes. Your silence + blink thing = high aoe damage, so if you have lifesteal you heal like nuts. and it fuking silences everything in that aoe too.

    However, something that is quite annoying is that her base attack speed build isn't that great, so if you build damage, you lack attack speed and if you build attack speed, your 130% damage bonus isn't maximized. but hen again, she would be amazingly OP if you had both >.> (late-game with her 130% bonus, she can easily get somewhere along the lines of 450 damage per hit)

    After spending this past week doing nothing but playing her, I find that Str Steamboots > Runed Axe > Elder Parasite (All the AS you need) > BKB (If no casters skip this, if disable heavy as most comp teams are, get this before elder) > Shield Breaker (This gives you an aoe armor debuff) > Riftshards gives you the best bang for your buck. It's not unreasonable to farm once you get that Runed Axe, the BKB usually comes 5 minutes after if you farm right. Elder is by far all the AS you need, although many people dislike this item.

    She has +80% attack speed after blink? She can quite do without attack speed items.

    Runed Axe / Shrunken Head / Geometer's Bane is her core.

    She's viable just like Magebane, Predator, Panda etc.

    QuC used picked Dark Lady and used her to great effect in the competitive match against PokerStars. Check it out if you want proof of if she's viable or not

    looked like quc wasn't really paying attention early game. I saw DL use her silence+130% skill and doing nothing with it like 3 times >.>

    by viable you reallly mean overpowered right? not one agi/str char should be able to wreck an entire creep wave in less than a second with just Runed axe, steam boots and Shrunken head. Not even PA could do that and dark lady is meant to be loosly based on PA. Also of note, PA only had the one control effect which was the stifling dagger (40% slow for 3 seconds). Dark lady has a slow that lasts longer, a more powerful blink strike, an effective ~10 second silence, more overall damage than PA with level 16 crit and on top of that she has an ultimate which allows her to take out a hero without any of their allies knowing about it, which also offers a 15% slow. She should be in every game, she's above Jera/Tempest since she hard counters them (Cover of darkness triggers portal key cooldowns)

    Dark Lady loosely based on Phantom Assassin? are you serious?

    Not 1 of The Dark Lady's ability is similar to any of Phantom Assassin's.

    Stifling dagger, mana cost and effects? Both have blink abilities, both have damage increases, and then the last ability is dissimilar, hence the "loosely" I'm pretty sure I read someone what tDL is based on PA, couldn't find anything in search.

    There's no MS speed transfer though, technically it got transfered to the blink not having to target a unit.

    He mis-calculated his mana ONCE, and couldnt blink after using it, therefore getting his lanemate killed.

    So I assume the guide that everyone is referring to is the link one of the above users posted of the QUC guys video match vs poker stars. In other words it exists only in media format at the moment and not a written guide. Is this correct?
