Feeling Like I'm broed of HoN

For about a week now I have been getting on HoN and right when I'm about to join a game... I get the feeling that I just never wanted to play. What's going on? A week ago I loved playing hon but now it's just really, meh. Anybody have an idea of what's going on?

You're not alone, S2 make you agree to a contract saying that "Heroes of Newerth isn't fit for any particular purpose" including entertainment. They don't believe anybody would play their own game you see, and are constantly surprised you people continue to slog through it.

It's not that I'm slogging through it. I love HoN it's the game that I play most out of all of 'em. It's just this past week every time I go to join a game, I get that feeling that I really don't want to play at that point.

HoN can't satisfy one's entire entertainment, well not mine that is. I have photoshop, starcraft 2, and friends to spend my time. Or just pirate some games.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Yep.
HoN has made too many promises it can't keep.

Buy HoN now and you'll get:
    • A map editor allowing you to play custom games with your friends
    • An SDK allowing you to write your own games, including Savage 2 if you really wanted!
    • All players are equal in the game, and we don't give older players perks or advantages over newer players.
    • A highly polished game with no bugs. Because S2's response to every problem during beta was, "HoN is in beta; that's why it's buggy; wait for retail", it follows that HoN after retail has no bugs!
    • You'll be able to view every single replay ever at any time, even going back to original beta games. Remember when Valkyrie first came out? You can view your replays of you hitting your first arrows with her still!

I have no problem with S2 or HoN. In fact it's one of the best games I've ever played. But what I'm wondering if i should just take a break from it for now and come back to it later?

I don't know why you make a thread asking that question. It's like asking, "I'm tired of eating chicken every night. I hate eating chicken, I eat chicken and it's like I'm not hungry anymore. Should I stop eating chicken?"

I think you're perfectly capable of deciding whether you want to eat chicken or not. You don't have to be scared to make a choice.

It's not that I'm afraid to make a choice. But HoN is a game I love. You already know the situation. I was just wondering if I took a break that the feeling would go away. Because I'd love to start actually wanting to play again.

    yeah
1.too lazy to play the game
2.it's all the same game everytime
    3.dealing with ragers trolls etc
    4.constructive lost
5.they add everything in shop with "premium"
-->hey they need to create money
true, but ***** slapping your customer with every new patch?
    ->new shop UI
->removed alt avatar spawning in practice
->a very (not) good compensation on downtime
    ->gold premium

    the list will continue...
why s2 really doesn't care about his reputation? [or HoN in general]

i still wonder why s2 do that, it's like showing that "hey we are jackass, we need all your money before dota2 crush us, so we create everything on premium, you want to try the skin? too bad remove it for the new [unimplemented until now] alt avatar preview , oh btw we also change the shop UI, deal with it!"

dont even mention LoL, LoL is a bad game and has no quality if you compare it to HoN

how is it feel when you go home from work, really tired and the when you play hon, you get trolled, you get raged by 12 y/o kids

the community is the biggest letdown on this game
Thank you Riot Games For destroying the Genre
I hope you guys die in fire, and may god have mercy, because i wont

    Play SC2

Because you're tired of it(Duh). It happens. Play something else for a while and the fun will return, just don't expect it to last forever.

Find a different game to play for a while. If you're bored with playing HoN then there's obviously something about the game that fails to keep you entertained, which is most probably the repetitive quality of it. Do something else then.

I always get tired of games. Then I find another game to play. Then I get the urge to go back to the old game and the cycle continues. You won't always be in the mood to do the same thing every day. Would you want to eat the same food everyday? Watch the same TV everyday? Read the same things everyday? Nope.
