That's fine I guess. Were there any limited time only deals in the shop that got rolled back? You should reoffer those as well, if so.

Like I said in the other thread, it seems as if you moved the existing drives, cpu, and ram to new boxes, in order to go from a 1 or 2 socket (1 or 2 cpus) system to a 2 or 4 socket system. The RAID controller wasn't compatible, or the person doing the physical work didn't know those drives had data on them, and he wiped the array when setting it up on the new box. Same person probably did both and then said "OK! Good to go!", and then you saw that all your data was gone.
Your mistakes were:
Trying to cut costs (reusing hardware instead of buying new ones).
Trying to rush through it (upgrading both boxes at once).
Not keeping regular on-site backups (RAID is not a backup, and redundant/fail-over or load-balancing boxes are not backups. Proper backups are disconnected and unpowered).
If you had not done any of the three things above, you'd be fine.
Regular on site backups would mean a roll back of less than 24 hours.
Upgrading one box at a time would have meant no data loss (if both store a live version of the DB), and no extended downtime (though obviously one box wouldn't handle the load).
Not reusing hardware would have cost more, but it would have prevented it entirely and you would have had the existing hardware for further redundancy/capacity.

This is it...? 2000 coins - the coins i lost is alot less than actually 2000 coins, i never leave games, and who cares if we can use items for a short period of time. Considering i lost around 300 MMR from my 3 accounts I still feel like im getting the short end of the stick.
i will only be satisfied with 6800 silver coins
One thing, what about those of us who don't want 2000 coins? i.e: We have everything in the store already. Is there something else we can have in return? Another sub-account to join my billion existing ones?
this is where all the noobs forget that s2 ****ed up on a ridiculous scale.
a 2 week roll back in any online game, especially not one that requires 30-1hr long commitments, is unacceptable.

I admit I didn't expect any real compensation, and this is far more than I'd even consider S2 doing. Few people (if any) lost 2000 coins, so that's quite the haul to give to all your players - I imagine you might lose some people buying some gold coins, but that's the idea, I guess. Every item being available just sounds like good business sense, though. I wouldn't be surprised if you offered that a few times a year just to get people interested.
Disconnects being cleared retroactively is great for all the complaints you'd been getting, even though it never affected me personally. There is obviously the downside of clearing user-created disconnects, but there's nothing you can do about that.
I feel like this is the first right thing done in a long time, which is both good and bad. I get the impression S2 tries and just can't quite get there, and I don't know how to feel about that. Blizzard gives the impression that they just don't care about their userbase, so it's very clear that you're not getting anything from them when things go wrong. The upside to this is that you never get let down, because you have no expectations. Their games are also so good you can't help but ignore what an awful company it's turned into. It's hard for somebody to have that sort of loyalty to S2 when they don't really bring anything to the table that nobody else does. But hey, if you're really trying, you'll probably get there eventually.
