Pred should get a SH in pretty much every game. I'm talking 99%. As his second item mostly, sometimes first or 3rd (big item that is)

Steamboots if you feel you will go into late game, ghost marchers if you stay in early-mid and finish it at that point (or lose at that point)
Good pickups then are Insan->SH->SB or Icebrand->SH->Demonic/FWS

Bad pickups are Firebrand, wingbow, beasthard, mock. (from the list above me). You don't need agi, you don't need agi, beastheart is very late game and you already have survivability, you're more useful as auto attack carry rather than tanky carry.

you buy it more for the evasion attack speed and armor, but i rarely pick that item up, less than 1% of my pred games
heart is never a bad item, if you believe it is then you should stop playing casual mode
if you rush mock its surprisingly effective on pred since you spend most of your time in the middle of the enemy team, another reason why heart is a good item
frostwolf doesnt give the attack or movespeed frostburn does

ive won a lot of pred games solely from my heart pickup, its not the weak nerfed heart from dota, its the old OP heart
shieldbreaker is easily the worst orb in the game, you would be better off getting symbol of rage

Does the 'reveal' aspect of wards of revelation have clearvision? For example, if I put a WoR on one side of some trees, and enemy invis scout and I are on the other side of the trees, can I see him?

You can see him, yes. It reveals everything in its radius, you just have to be able to have sight of what you're revealing.

because the ward itself doesnt give vision of much, but it does reveal invisible things around it, when you are playing against heroes like tree, and you are trying to push a tower, you can put the counter ward in the trees near the tower so you can see him while hes on his tower and not just when hes on top of you, or not have the other team see your counterward from their tower vision

this was done recently at that dreamhack tournament the other day when there was a tree in the lineup

I can no longer see the guide when looking at the shop. Been gone since around the start of the DDOS attacks. I use a few mods but just the normal ones (GPM, smaller UI etc) and I don't tinker with settings through the console.

Essentially what I now see is a blank set of recommended skills, descriptions etc, rather than the guides. The drop down box is also empty.

Any idea how to get it back?

If you pickup Wingbow in 1% of your games, why even list him in a short guide? It implies that it's a good option in a lot of games (which is what a guide is about)
You "waste" 3300 gold by buying Wingbow, because the Agi is kinda wasted on him (yes it gives AS and Armor, but there are just better items out there, DB for instance)

Heart is a bad early game pickup, and should only really be picked as an extreme luxery. Pred needs other things before mass HP.

You know what also is suprisingly effective on Pred? Items that actually benefit from his skill set! If you rush mock, you're squishy as ****, and deal barely any auto attack damage/have trouble attacking since you have no utility.

Who needs attackspeed if your target can't move an inch, FWS gives a decent attack damage boost, and you deal a % of their HP as damage.
Frostburn is a situational pick, like FWS. But i would prefer FWS over Frostburn in 99% of the cases.
(frostburn "wastes" half of it's abilities on Pred. Icebrand/FWS is +str, therefore more useful on STR heroes)

Winning games on a certain item pickup is a hard thing to judge. Because you'll never know what would have happened if you picked up another item.

SB makes Pred's main damage skill more useful, on top of the normal boost it gives to a carries damage. That's why DB is also preferred above Heart.

But... Wingbow + Mock are definetly items you want to list to a guy who wants a basic Pred guide! Seriously, think about that for a second

This isn't gameplay related, but on the subject of account icons, I understand that they are permanent and cannot be interchanged. Is it possible to preview what the icon looks like before it is finalized? I have not uploaded anything because I want to be sure it looks correct. Thank you for any responses.

No, and from what I've heard it gets resized and will likely become deformed. I'd wait a bit.

You can't pull ancients into lanes at all any more. However, you can pull them at x:55 to stack them.

Still possible to hook them with devourer into the lane from bot as hellbourne? Also if you block the lane with fissure right before the tier 2 tower will you be able to ancient pull them on their way to river because the lane is blocked?
And can you still hook them into the lane as devourer on legion mid?

1. Shrunken head will allow you to pass engi's ult freely without being purged/silenced

2. That was a glitch when Gauntlet came out, and has been long fixed

This can be solved by submitting an icon which is sized at 128x128.

Is anyone sitting on the throne of Best 1v1 Hero? (L25, No items, no creeps interferring)

There's puppet who can use his ulti and then puppetshow you into hitting it. But there's also sandwraith who's just ridiculous when you're alone.
Not to mention Corrupted Conduit and ulti on CD.

Is anyone a clear theoretical winner?

In a 5v5 with 1 player on each team, Scout is the clear winner.

In a pure 1v1, it's less clear, but Zephyr, Soulstealer, and similar I would imagine have the advantage.

Not the right place to ask, but as good as any really. This picture shows you where you can start a new "topic" (it's called a thread).

And "Quick Reply" is the same as regular replies but without as many options, if you want the full list of options (like paragraphing, font, bold, italic etc) press "Go Advanced" below the quick reply box.
