Can you not use Riftshards with Horned Strike on Rampage? I've been playing alot of him in no stats because well...he's just alot of fun. The problem is late game I don't do enough damage so I was practicing trying out different things.

I thought Assassins Shroud+Riftshards+Horned Strike would be a good combo but I have tested literally 100 Horned Strikes and not a single crit. The odds of this 20% not proc'n at least once is way too low. I know it has nothing to do with Riftshards not working with skills because I tested Behemoths 2nd skill with it and got several crits.

I think since Horned Strike is a form of bash, it won't proc a crit. Imagine it as a spell thats cast every (however many seconds it has on cooldown). Don't get Assassin's Shroud either, its a waste of money. Stack strength and initiate rather than carry.

When should you defend? Because my first instinct when I see 3+ people on a tower and push raping a lane is to defend it, instead of just roflpushing as well. But most of the time, people get mad at me for defending and tell me I should just be pushing as well and taking towers or whatever.

You are playing with idiots, don't listen to them and think for yourself. Hard thing is, you still need to work with them. That's what I did to get my rating. It's still not good but I'm getting there =)

Personally when I see a tower being pushed the first thing I do is quickly check everyone's items on my team to see who has tp's. If it's just me then it all depends on who I am and whether I can stave off that attack alone. If not then yeah I just push another lane.

Actually he will need to buy a "pass" in order to play other modes. This enables him to pick a hero which he hasn't already purchased, using up the pass. Without any passes, he can't play those modes. Gaining verified status will not change this.

I think a week-long pass costs somewhere around 700 gold coins, but I don't remember.

Don't you get two free tokens upon reaching level 5? I could be wrong. Your answer is probably more correct

You can buy either week long passes or one use passes. Week long gives you unlimited access for a week, while one use passes will only be used if you pick (or random) a hero which you do not have access to.

I don't remember the price off hand. I do believe you get either 2 or 5 passes for becoming verified.

In the new spectator mode, what does the X V and C mean when it pops up under a players hero avatar below the clock? Are they numerals or something else?

That tells you which key to press to center your screen on that hero. If Pebbles pops up with an X underneath, you can press X and you will zoom over to watch the action.

when hon went f2p there was a guide by someone, putting all heroes into categories (agility, god tier, lame tier etc) depending on their cost-efficiency for new player useing silver coins etc
i just can´t find this guide anymore, neighter in the guide section nor through forum search
if anyone knows the guide or where i have to look/or find a similar one i would really appreciate it

Is there a way in game to make the hero attack right when he sees a target?
like the following sitation
ur following someone and hes juking u see him from time to time but ur too slow to click on him to attack can u do something to make ur hero automatically attack him even if ur moving?

You can use attack move (a + left click position). Your hero will attack anything that he sees while moving to the position that you clicked. This will not work if there are any creeps nearby as you will start attacking them instead.
