Hey all, this is a really dumb question, but I realized that I have never really thought about it or wondered about it ever, even since beta. What causes your account to gain levels, and how does the system work?
Its a relic from the last game S2 developed: Savage 2
Savage 2 had starter Servers that you could only use with accounts below a certain lvl (amount of games played/playtime i dont realy remember) or you could create veteran servers for people above a certain lvl. With the introduction of PSR in HoN it became a worthless stat and it does not realy matter anymore. I cant tell you for sure how it works in HoN but it does not realy matter anymore anyway.
Highlight the what does this mean button in the match stats of a matchmaking game, it'll tell you how much experience you get for doing what.
You gain levels after reaching enough experience to level up.

Simple question, I'm a mage player and atm i'm getting raped by melee champions that blink to you with cc then proceed to restart my death timer (i.e. there's a dude with a bubble ulti that stuns me for 5 seconds), so how do i avoid getting cc'ed?
to clarify, i have 5 games under my belt and i don't know all the heroes/range/skills whatever. i've been advised to get a portal key to blink out of bad situations. but the melee champions usually cc me as soon as they hit and i go from 100 to 0.
any help appreciated.
So what happened was later on in the game, you were repeatedly killed by Chronos. The only suggestions I can give you in a general sense is to watch your positioning. As a caster, you do not want to be in the front lines.
Try checking out the sticky for Epoch Gaming, I think it'll help you out a lot
To extend upon Yukari's post, melee carries like the one you described are extremely weak early in the game whereas casters/gankers ("mages") are rather strong in the early- and mid-game.
You should do your best to use your relative advantage to its fullest so that the carries aren't super beefy as the game gets later. Another thing - try to avoid Casual Mode if you can.

Continuing what others have said positioning is important as is vision. If you're squishy you generally don't want to be in the front lines, especially if they have vision of you.
To avoid dying by chronos, the best strat is probably to not be seen. If chronos cant see you he wont know to jump and kill you. Use the fog, uphill, tree hiding spots, and just standing farther back to avoid getting hit. Then you can use your spells from outside the bubble to disable chronos so he can't kill your allies
Positioning is not the easiest skill to learn and something I know I can still work on.
The other option is jumping on him and killing him before he can ult/leap away but this takes a lot more team coordination.

On AngryTestie's stream I always see that he doubleclicks items to sell them. Being able to do this would be awesome since I don't always want to center my screen on the shop and pull the item over it.
Is there an interface setting / keybinding option or do I have to use a mod for this?
New player here, I've been randoming most games to get use to the heroes and I ran into a bit of a confusing situation today. I landed Andromeda, which is fine and all but the problem came with her Ulti.
While in lane my partner(who was Witch Slayer) proceeded to stun Gauntlet. After both our stuns and auto-attacks he was close to dead and running, so I Ulti'd to get him behind us and into the creeps. Afterwards I was yelled at for using my Ulti in that situation(I believe Witch Slayer died to Madman after Gauntlet died so I guess i coulda saved him instead? I guess the best way of confirm this would be to watch the replay if you got the time.)
They were telling me to use it only to save teammates. I think I used it on the enemy when they tried running, or a situation where I could pull them into a tower/creeps.
Basically I'm here to ask if my decision to use Andromeda's Ulti offensively is really that bad. It seemed to work out just fine offensively but I guess it really does depend on the enemy/situation/positioning. I wasn't doing it any situation that would get me killed at least. Even if it did put me in a semi-bad position I would immediately Tablet of command back anyways.
tl;dr can I get some advice on Andromeda's Ulti in case I end up on her randoming again.

Regarding the andro swap question:
The answer is it depends. In the laning phase it's usually okay to swap someone who's alone to get a kill, especially on an important hero/carry, but later in the game you'll usually want to save your ult for defensive purposes. These purposes include swaping the person that the enemy team jumps, especially if that hero is your carry or main dps hero (e.g. your puppet master just got ulted by pharaoh), and canceling tempest's ultimate with your swap when he blinks on to your teammates.
Regarding this specific scenario:
Witch slayer and andromeda are both considered support heroes. They don't really need farm to perform their potential later in the game. If one of them dies for a kill on the enemy team's carry, it's usually worth it. While gauntlet isn't exactly a carry, I would (without watching the replay mind you) say it was worth it to secure the kill on gauntlet. Of course, feeding the enemy madman a kill is usually not a good thing either but whether andro dies or witch slayer dies doesn't matter as much as if you could have saved a Flint Beastwood, Dark Lady, Corrupted Disciple, etc. from death.
Hope this is good advice!

Thanks for responding you two.
Is there a way to see sub ability skill descriptions? I can't see them on the site or in the herodex.
