Ask a Question
Purpose
Hundreds of questions are asked in the Training Grounds every day, most of them one-answer questions. The purpose of this thread is to help clean up the forums while providing an easy means with which to obtain answers.
RulesTry to keep conversations to a minimum. If it's something that has discussion value it's best to open up a thread. AAQ should be primarily for questions that have set answers or at least answers that won't change until a new patch is released.
- Question must be related to Heroes of Newerth
- Question must be appropriate and follow all normal forum rules.
- When answering, please quote the person you answered.

idk what u mean by use it -its the first item i ever bought btw-
but i went into a practice game bought a monkey courier clicked on the botton
clicked select penguin courier and nothing happened :
"Use it" refers to that fact you have to left click the monkey to "summon" it. In practice games I don't think the courier alternatives show up, but you're pressing the right button. You might have to check in your in-game shop "Vault" that the courier is activated, although I'm not sure since I haven't purchased one myself.Originally Posted by healing1000

Question: How do you set it up so that double tapping a hotkey will center the screen on that unit?
In starcraft, if you hotkey a building to 1, and then tap the 1 button twice quickly, the screen will immediately center itself over that building. Is there a way to set it up so this happens in HoN?
Same way in HoN. 1-10 are control groups, you can add to them using control+1-10 and then select/goto them with a single/double press of the key.
This question just reeks of someone trying to assert that they're right and not actually win a game. If your team needs wards and someone isn't buying them who should be, it becomes your job to buy wards.

also sometimes when i get a team where the players are .. lacking manners?
its becomes pretty challenging to buy wards for them

btw can someone tell me if there is a way to report players at the moment since everytime i click the match id it tells me no players found
By default, I believe pressing "C" would center the screen to the unit selected.

How to use the old shop?
I know the command setsave cg_usenewshop2 false
but for some reason, that command gives me both the old and the new shop at the same time..
any help?
What is the best jungle route for legionnaire?
As of the latest patch that line of code is bugged. If I were you, I'd just get used to the new shop. Change it to "simple view" and its a lot easier to understand, after a few games you won't even remember the old shop.
I'm not 100% positive but I'd guess at level 1 it would be a good idea to stack the weak camp at 0:55 if its snotters, clear that for level 2 and go look for medium camps with Vultures/Ogres/Skeletals to stack/kill. He's very dependant on stacking which was nerfed in the latest patch, so a few practice games might come in handy figuring out a routine.
stack the easy camp then move to a medium camp and stack the pull if possible

Hi! I would like to know how can i take control of my summoned units (like malphas, boris..) with quick buttons (pushing 1 or 2 or anything else)...
You can bind them to 1-9 by pressin Ctrl + a number 1-9
Example: Bind your hero to 1, by pressing Ctrl + 1 and binding Malphas to 2, by pressing Ctrl + 2

There really isn't a "best route" because the spawns are randomized. But a safe start is generally to stack the easy camp, clear it, and see what's in the medium camp, and keep a close eye on whether you can pull or not.
is it necessary to press the button "redeem my coins" at the match stats screen to get silver coins for mm?
cause in the last week i received coins without the match stats working..
I believe "redeem my coins" just takes you to the shop, since I've never pressed it and still got plenty of silver coins.
Coins are automatically added, redeem simply takes you to the shop.
hey is pyro support or semi-carry
who is more support (should get wards) pyro-tempest-bs in order
also same question goes for magmus and bomb should they be getting wards?
if pyro solos he should be a semi-carry if he is in a dual or trilane, he will be a support the vast majority of the time. If you need a hero to ward*****, pyro is a sub-par pick. He's better as a secondary warder
BS will almost always be some sort of ward***** .
Tempest shouldn't have to ward if he solos, but if he jungles he should be able to buy some wards here and there. He can be a good secondary warder, or an OK primary warder (his pkey will be pretty slow if he has to buy wards+counterwards).
Magmus should usually be buying some wards (as a secondary warder). If your primary warder can make good use of a pkey (witch slayer), then once magmus finishes his pkey he should try to buy most of his wards until WS can get his key.
