How to FIX out-of-date MODS

There are many tutorials of this so im not the only one who has made one

1. Open up the HonMod with winrar
2. Extract "mod.xml" to your desktop
3. Open "mod.xml" with notepod
4. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<modification application="Heroes of Newerth" appversion="-1.1.1" mmversion="1.1"
name="Name of MOD" version="0.1" date="01.10.2010"
5. FIX it to like this
?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<modification application="Heroes of Newerth" appversion="-*" mmversion="1.1"
name="Name of MOD" version="0.33" date="01.10.2010"

6.Save it and then open up the mod with winrar again and copy the mod.xml into the mod

This doesn't FIX out of date addons, it simply allows mods to bypass the version check.

As Eccentrikit already stated, this is not a FIX it's a BYPASS.
