Due to the OVERWHELMING support of Shrewd The Mole King
I have decided to introduce his antagonist.
Vagrant,
The Former Shrew King
Speed: 300
Range: 600/Melee
Affiliation: Hellbourne
Primary Stat: Agi
Visual Design
A dirty, tattered, and malnourished looking shrew. With a broken/tarnished
crown on his head.
StoryEverything was going right for the shrews and their king. After years of
desolate times, the population was finally growing again. Cities were swelling, and new provinces were established to help support the new boom.
Everything was on the right track. Then the Mole King came. He took everything from the shrews, their homes, their kingdom.
Then after everything else, in mock, he took their name. After barely escaping capture, The Shrew King roamed for years.
When the Hellbourne found him, he was a petty spiteful form and called himself Vagrant. After hearing how Shrewd joined the legion,
Vagrant joined the hellbourne, and swore to do anything to destroy Shrewd and those who helped him.
Role
Carry/Chase
StatsSTR:18+1.75
AGI:22+3
INT:10+1.25
Attack animation: Thrown Rocks.
Crazed Lunge__________________________________________________
Vagrant leaps onto the back of his target, covers their mouth, and stabs repeatedly with his claws.
Launches toward the target, much like predator, but latches on, slows, attacks, and silences. Receives 1 extra attack per 2 charges of Spite. (Crazed Lunge does not add charges to spite)
Mana Cost:80/100/120/140
Cooldown: 30/25/20/15
Cast Range: 700
1. 10% Slow and 1 attack over 2 seconds.
2. 15% Slow and 2 attacks over 2 seconds.
3. 20% Slow and 3 attacks over 2 seconds.
4. 25% Slow and 4 attacks over 2 seconds.
Balance: Vagrant is still targetable, and can be cc'd out of his attacks. The slow doesn't help Vagrant much as he travels with the target for the 2 seconds, but it will apply the Dirty Claws modifier, and keep the target revealed during the slow.
Visual: Vagrant latches on and stabs at his opponent with his claws.
__________________________________________________
Spite
Vagrant receives an adrenaline rush from picking on a single target, increasing his attack and movement speed.
The more Vagrant attacks a single target the more the buff is applied. Should Vagrant break the target, or wait longer than the duration to attack again the counter is reset to 0.
Type: Passive
Duration: 2/3/4/5 Seconds
1. 2 AS per hit and 1 MS (max of 10 AS 5 MS)
2. 4 AS per hit and 2 MS (max of 20 AS 10 MS)
3. 6 AS per hit and 3 MS (max of 30 AS 15 MS)
4. 8 AS per hit and 4 MS (max of 40 AS 20 MS)
Balance: The buff is applied only if Vagrant keeps to a target, and continues to attack the target before the buff timer wears out. The timer is rather low, and stuns should easily break it.
__________________________________________________
Big Throwing Rock.
Vagrant's spite can be petty at times, like when he picks rocks up off the ground to throw at opponents.
After travelling a distance of 900 Vagrant, (gains one charge) will find a rock to throw at his opponent. Deal's 50 dmg and .5 ministun.
Mana Cost: 30
Cool Down: N/A
1. 700 cast range, max 2 rocks.
2. 730 cast range, max 3 rocks.
3. 760 cast range, max 4 rocks.
4. 800 cast range, max 5 rocks.
Balance: There are other stuns around 250 dmg for around 125-150 mana. This spell really just breaks up the stun duration into little bits. Can work well to interrupt, or chase.
Visual: Throw's a little rock.
__________________________________________________
Dirty Tricks
Vagrant's damage increases the closer he is to his opponent, if within melee range the target is inflicted with Dirty Claws.
Base damage increases the closer Vagrant is to his target.
Type: Passive
1. Damage maxes at 130%
2. Damage maxes at 140%
3. Damage maxes at 150%
Visual: Same as critical strikes, a little red number showing
Modifer:
Dirty Claws: Stops targets health regeneration for 3 seconds. (Stacks 5 times)
Visual: A little cloud of dust over his victim.
Synergies
Crazed Lunge+ Dirty Tricks The damage for crazed lunge comes from Vagrants attack, so if Dirty Tricks is applied
it will provide extra damage and will also apply the modifier. Those two skills together could work great when laning with a partner!
Crazed Lunge+ Big Throwing Rock These two together can add up for some great damage early on, and also if you decided to go
this route would be a great ganking combination.
Crazed Lunge+ Spite Gets you closer to your target, so that you can add charges to spite while chasing.
Dirty Tricks+ Big Throwing Rock You have great CC ability with Rock Throw and a good damage gain with Dirty Claws the two could work
well together while chasing.
Dirty Tricks + Spite Spite will help to chase enemies down, and get you closer to the target gaining more damage from Dirty Tricks.
Big Throwing Rock+ Spite A good chase combo, with the added movement speed and the mini stun from Big Throwing Rock you should be able to chase down an opponent.
Please vote on concept, and complain about numbers in the thread. =)
Proposed Changes
______________
Big Throwing Rock.
Vagrant's spite can be petty at times, like when he picks rocks up off the ground to throw at opponents.
After travelling a distance of 900 Vagrant, (gains one charge) will find a rock to throw at his opponent. Deal's 25/50/75/100 dmg and 1 second stun.
Mana Cost: 50
Cool Down: N/A
Max Charges: 3
1. 25 Damage 700 cast range.
2. 50 Damage 730 cast range.
3. 75 Damage760 cast range.
4. 100 Damage 800 cast range.
Balance: There are other stuns around 250 dmg for around 125-150 mana. This spell really just breaks up the stun duration into little bits. Can work well to interrupt, or chase.
Visual: Throw's a little rock.
______________
Tunnel Run. (Ultimate)
Vagrant creates a tunnel from himself to a target area.
Vagrant casts a hole at a target location, any enemy who falls into the hole will be set onto a forced path toward him. If they choose not to run down the path, or can't make it there in time, they receive heavy amounts of damage. The air is thin in the tunnel, and silences opponents.
Mana Cost: 100/150/200
Duration: 5 Seconds
Type: Castable
1. An area of 150, tunnel range of 500, 150 initial fall damage, and 300 dmg if still in the tunnel at the end of duration, and a 1 second stun. (enemies on top of the tunnel receive 1/2 damage/stun)
2. An area of 175, tunnel range of 600, 150 initial fall damage, and 350 dmg if still in the tunnel at the end of duration, and a 1 second stun. (enemies on top of the tunnel receive 1/2 damage/stun)
3. An area of 200, tunnel range of 700, 150 initial fall damage, and 400 dmg if still in the tunnel at the end of duration, and a 1 second stun. (enemies on top of the tunnel recieve 1/2 damage/stun.)
Balance: It lets the victim choose which it would rather face, Vagrant (and possibly allies) at the end of the tunnel, or a rather large damage nuke. 5 seconds is enough time to travel a distance of 500.
Visual: Much like what we saw in looney tunes when Bugs Bunny would dig a tunnel, a path of upended earth.
Please list in the thread if you would like the change or the original Big Throwing Rock Ability. Tunnel Run is what I would like to use, should I decide to make Vagrant a melee character.
Thank you Nome for the template.

so a big single unit killer.
1st: latches on a enemy and attack them, a real good single unit move, what about adding a silence for the duration, so they cant telly or something.
2nd: so it increases the max damage but not the lowest? interesting, plus no healing for a wile.
3rd: meh, i see what its ment to do but i dont like it.
ulti: a good power for a single unit killer.
overall a great single unit killer but you might consider replacing 3rd with something a bit more deadly.
ty, sorry I havent been bumping this. been busy these last weeks. I like the silence idea =)

My comments in orange:
Overall great concept, I'm not that good with balancing issues, but overall, I like the skills as they all synergize and make him a fairly effective anti-tank. That said, i'm not sure if he will scale well as a carry as none of his skills scale with items that much.
Skill 1: I like it, but like someone else said, you should probably silence the target, I would even disable them completely (spells, auto attack, and items) but lets them run around
Skill 2: Don't quite understand this. What is happening with him? What numbers are red?
Skill 3: I don't like it. Hero picks up rocks and tosses them? Seems a little off.
Ult: I like it, but it seems like a weaker version of accurssed auto attack. Maybe make it so it increases damage and attack speed instead? (a better version of Ursa's orb)

A bit confused with this one, I thought he was a melee character, so doesn't he automatically get the guaranteed damage boost when auto-attacking anything? The health regen freeze is neat.
Nope, I had him as a ranged hero. It might sound a bit forced but I had him as throwing rocks for his attack animation, then if he is within melee range would use his claws. (after Dirty Tricks)

lol if it helps any I initially thought of this guy as just a dirty wandering hobo type guy. (Hence Vagrant) but I thought I'd try and stick with the Mole theme I had going. Throwing rocks is kind of a fun idea imo, and is a nice change from guns/bows/fireballs. =)

Skill 1
Nice skill, would look cool i think. I would increase the mana costs slightly cause it slows and silences for 2 seconds. Not that weak
Skill 2
Sound a bit like the spell rexxar has? Fits well with his first skill. Could decrease the duration there.
Skill 3
You're able to release all rocks at once i believe? 5*30 = 150. Sounds fair. Also the damage and stun duration seems to be ok. Nice skill to catch up an enemy.
Ultimate
Claws will be evil on Tanks. Only negative point is that he has 2 passives but with his very low int gain this seems to be ok.

Tyvm. Good point, at first I just had it as the slow.Silence does increase its usefulness by quite a bit though.
