    The Comedian (Reworked) - [R4R]

    The Comedian
    Has been reworked (both major and minor reworks)!
    He is ready to once again rise over the doomed Newerth to spread joy and laughter!



    18+2 - 20+2 - 20+2

    Role:
    The Comedian's primary role is initiation, taking into account his built-in blink and AoE-stun and his 'Crowd Control'. Other than that he will make a great ganker/support early game before adding the required level to his initiation skills.


    Skills:
    His skills will focus primarily on ganking, initiation and counter-initiation, but will (in an advanced game) be used more as support skills.

    (Q) Skill 1: Ragdoll
    The purpose of this skill is to allow the Comedian to work unnoticed and create as much confusion as possible. The skill will be useful for ganking, escaping and (if it's a skilled use) initiating against an entire team without them noticing.
    Ragdoll
    Target - Ground
    Range: 450/500/550/600 units
    Teleports to the target area and leaves an illusion in his place. The illusion carries out the last order the Comedian was given before Ragdoll was cast.
    The illusion lasts 1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds, takes 300% damage and deals no damage.
    Manacost: 100
    Cooldown: 18/16/14/12 seconds
    Cast time: .05 seconds


    (W) Skill 2: Wall of Illusions
    This spell is useful for several things: initiation, counter-initiation, fleeing and early (counter-)ganking. The complexity of the spell may seem a little overwhelming at first, but it's easy as soon as you understand it
    Wall of Illusions
    Self Position
    The comedian creates a 400/433/466/500 AoE around him that is invisible to the outside world; the outside world is also invisible while inside it. The walls are not physical (you can walk through them), but they are very visible.
    Inside the AoE, all allied units have their illusion - they work on the exact opposite side as them. The illusions will attack, run and attack the same units the real hero attacks and cast the same spells, but they will deal no damage. The Wall of Illusions lasts 2/2.75/3.5/4.25 seconds. On level 4, the dynamic 2-split mirror-axis becomes a 3-split mirror-axis making 2 illusions.
    Manacost: 120/130/140/150
    Cooldown: 30 seconds
    Cast time: .8 seconds.


    (E) Skill 3: Laugh out Loud
    This is his primary initiation skill which allows him to effectively burst the rest of his spells before being taken down by his enemies. It IS also effective as a counter-initiation tool and ganking at all levels, thanks for asking

    Self Position
    Stuns enemies in a 200 radius for 1 second, after which the enemies are applied 'Confusion' for 5 seconds.
    Confusion: 10/13.3/16.6/20% Movement Speed slow. Every start of a second, there's a 10/15/20/25% chance that the unit will change direction (90,135, 180, 225 or 270 degrees (well, you get the point, only 'backwards'.) this effect will not stop until the end of the second. If the effect applies, that second the 'Confused' has no MS reduction, but it reapplies once that second is through.

    Cooldown: 20 seconds
    Cast time: 0


    (R) Ultimate: Comic Sense
    Single target, early level gank ability, but also useable for lategame initiation (in big teamfights). Putting out a carry in a giant teamfight can prove very useful and change the tide of battle.
    Comic Sense
    Target - Unit (Enemy Hero)
    Target unit has 'Comic SAAAANS!' applied to it for 2/3/4 seconds.
    Comic SAAAANS!: Movement Speed slowed by 25% for duration. Also blurs everything, blends heroes together and loses HP- and manabars. Allows for attack on allied heroes.
    Manacost: 160/180/200
    Cooldown: 100/90/80 seconds
    Cast time: .4 seconds

    Ragdoll

    - not bad – it’s the god like version of teleport
    - Balance reduces the range on teleport by 50 or 75 units per level. Cast time instance

    Wall of Illusions

    - Interesting. I would hate to be blinded with this ability knowing I had to quickly run out to see what’s going on.
    - Possibley re-work the blind effect on allied units to dim their vision from X to Y? Or remove the blinded effect all together

    Laugh out Loud

    - -I like how it dictates the way you spin but do you turn left or right when doing so?
    - -Make the skill walk in opposite direction vs angle/degrees

    Comic Sense

    - Screwing up vision is painful enough – I’d avoid playing against this character because of his ulti.
    - Needs more description, stats, numbers

    The idea is unique but the hero itself is painfully annoying to play against if it existed.
    Try re-work any ability that affects vision impairment and if you got 1 ability that already slows why have another?

    Good effort over all.

    I'm just wondering how this hero is supposed to gank anything early on with his complete lack of any presence and damage. I would rather just have a Magmus or Behemoth (name any other initiator) who doesn't rely on counter-able gimmicks to get the job done.

    ^ The comedian is made to be a visual ****up, strictly speaking.

    His ragdoll might need to apply a short invis on the Comedian to ensure complete fooling. Shorter than the duration of the illusion though, as that would be overpowered for juking.

    Wall of Illusions is somewhat co-written by me, and I'd like to see that beyond the standard AoE, there should be a total blackout on the map in a 2000 units radius, but the in-game screen should blur out, so you can still VAGUELY see what's going on outside, but it's hard to determine. Seeing inside the AoE from the outside is still impossible though.

    Cooldown and duration might be lowered with the effect increased on LOL, because RNG is bad in this game, let's just face it.

    The ultimate is waaaaay too underpowered when I see it again. Rather have a total model blur on, so allies and enemies shares the same model, all the creeps looks the same too, and makes all damage-sources dealt hit everyone. Increased duration and a random conal displacement and camera swap too. Singletarget CC has got to be pretty powerful as an ulti in some way.

    Are you planning on making a playable version? He sounds interesting, reminds me of League Of Legends' Shaco (in a good way, I like both games).

    i think i liked the other hero with visual impairment better. ulti that turns every member of your team into a single hero? or messes up the models of each hero? much better than this.
