I don't really mind HoN going F2P.

With that said, free-loaders shouldn't be able to play matchmaking, play custom maps or write guides for the ingame guides. That way, if they want something, they can pay for it, like in LoL.

That seems like a fair business model. LoL-players transfer with greater ease and doesn't hurt the game in any way.

Thats actually pretty old news.

Maliken denied plans on changing to a f2p model soon. He also said that, should they really switch to one, there will be a possibility to not play with people who didn't buy the game.

Yup that's how it is atm. Lucily MOBA genre players are just epic at whining, thus they'll whine over Dota 2 when it releases no matter of what, either balance or game mech.

This actually kind of makes sense.
If you look at breaky's latest interview with Maliken, he states they've been working on an architecture that can handle anything thrown at them, it only makes sense they're designing an architecture to handle the amount of players HoN would have with F2P.

But hey, it's all speculation....

I dont mind HoN going f2p as long as there is a way to keep new account from playing with older accounts. Make it based on games played, like 200 games and u can play MM or something.

Yawn. So what's new? Ofcourse it's gonna go F2P someday. Or do you want to wait for 192 minutes on the matchmaking queue to find a game in 2015.
