OT: imo, while mana burning will be very effective in messing up Ra's game-plan, if your team does the initiating, you would be better off. But yeah, if Magebane gets farmed and goes after Ra, he'll be in trouble. He'll still have his other skills, but he will have to be very careful in using them since both his active skills damage himself.
I'm sure S2 will be buff/nerf as needed if something is obviously not working as planned.

Yes DotA has Leoric, but his Reincarnation was a set amount of mana (140 at all levels), so as the game went later, the cost was almost negligible; however, with Ra, since it costs 50% of his mana pool at all levels, it leaves him more vulnerable to mana burning.

My goal is for at least one of my heroes to be ported into HoN! Help my cause and get S2 to see these!

I'm confused as to why everyone thinks that mana burn stuff will be more amazing vs Amun Ra than it is vs so many heroes already. Lots of heroes have spells that take nearly 50% of their mana or at least a very large chunk of it, plus their other abilities still take mana. With Ra it seems like you can spam your stuff to initiate the fight, hope they all focus fire on you until you die (or they can ignore you at their own peril). If they focus you down, it's likely you'll still have more than 50% of your mana, in which case you'll pop right back up in their face and keep the fun going.
I don't know, it just doesn't seem like it will be any more powerful to mana burn Amun Ra than it is vs a lot of heroes already.
