    The Darkness (updated)

    The Darkness




    Speed: 300
    Range: 500
    Affiliation: Hellbourne
    Primary Stat: AGI

    Name: The Darkness


    Lore: Within every creature great and small there is the darkness. In humans, beasts and even some demons it manifests itself as that little voice in the back of your mind telling you to do evil to hurt others to strike down all those around you. With the release of the Hellbourne the darkness has finally been able to summon itself physically into the world thanks to the horrors of the war.

    Sound And Visuals: The model for this hero would be similar as above, a completly dark mass with tendrils flaying outwards. Dark glowing eyes and white sharp teeth should be the only human thing about it as it is meant to be a seething mass of vile and evilness. When it speaks it should sound dark but not quite clear like a deep voice but is having trouble making words kind of like Pestilance voice

    • Attack Animation: small black/dark purple blobs of goo are fired from the tips of its tendrils.


    • Movement: its neck should stretch foward and then pull back like a cartoon snail except a little faster.


    Stats:
    AGI Range as main stat, should have high base armor and medium INT.



    Skillset

    Skill 1.
    The Taste of Flesh:
    Description: With its new found phsyical existance The Darkness has found a liking to flesh and all the pain and damage it can cause it.

    Ability: Targeted Ranged Channeling ability.
    while this spell is channeled health and mana is drained from the target and given to the hero but the further away from the hero the target is the stronger the drain is. The target is still able to move and cast spells freely as it is drained but the range of the spell once it is on should be very long forcing the target to either run away or get close to the hero.

    Animation: A few tendrils from the hero should stretch foward and latch onto the target, the tendrils appearing like the strings from Puppet Master's Ultimate except Black/Dark Purple

    Numbers: (my attempt feel free to point out balance issues as this is my first time)

    Type: Magic
    Range: 400
    Cast Time: 0.8 Seconds
    Duration: 10 Seconds all levels
    Damage: 1% (0.5% under 300 units range, *% at 1000+ range) per second/ 2% / 3% / 4%
    Mana Cost: 75 / 85 / 100 / 120
    Cooldown: 25.0 Seconds
    Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
    Note: Lasts until target gets more than 1500 units away.


    Skill 2.
    MORE MUST HAVE MORE!:
    Description: The Darkness sensing flesh nearby works itself into a rabid frenzy, its tendrils flaying widly desprate for a taste of the flesh so very close!

    Ability: Passive Melee range.
    As an enemy hero gets closer to the hero a damage aura is activated strongest when standing right next to the hero and weakest at its furthest edge.

    Animation: When a hero is near any tendrils not being used for Skill 1 should be waving around faster then normal and if possable any tiny ripples around the base of the model should quiver faster.

    Numbers: (my attempt feel free to point out balance issues as this is my first time)

    Type: Physical
    Radius: 400
    Damage: 20 Damage at 150 going down to 10 at 400/ 30-15/ 40-20/ 60-30
    Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7


    Skill 3.
    Give In To Me...:
    Description: As blobs of concentrated Darkness touches the flesh the Darkness within fights for control of the body wanting to go to the sweet embrace of its master.

    Ability: Ranged Autocast, Replaces standard ranged attack.
    At the cost of mana the heros damage is increased slightly and with every hit the target is pulled a little towards the hero.

    Example: if an enemy hero is standing still and begins getting hit by this skill each time it lands on the target its pulled towards the hero so that if the target dosnt do anything it will eventually be pulled right next to the hero.

    Animation: Instead of the standard tiny blob a larger heavier looking blob should be fired, perhaps leaving a little trail on the floor like with Amardaons snot or Plague riders auto attack.

    Numbers: (my attempt feel free to point out balance issues as this is my first time)

    Type: Magic
    Cast Time: 1.0 Seconds
    Damage: +10/ +20/ +30/ +40
    Mana Cost: 12
    Cooldown: 2.0 / 2.0 / 0.0 / 0.0 Seconds
    Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
    Note: This is an attack ability. Right click to enable auto-casting of this skill.
    Pulls target by 25 units


    Skill 4 Ultimate.
    You Can Never Escape Me:
    Description: In an explosion of violence and anger The Darkness stretches itself over a large area of ground slowing and draining any enemies that wander into the dark tainted ground.

    Ability: Channeld Non-targetable AOE.
    In an area around itself (similar size to Keeper Of The Forest's ultimate) all enemies are slowed and are drained of health and mana which is then given to the hero. Also in the area of this AOE there is Fog preventing anyone outside its range to see inside and anyone caught in this aoe also has its vision reduced to minimum (like Dark Lady's ultimate). But to do this costs 100% mana of the heros remaining mana

    Animation: Looks like Keeper Of The Forest's ultimate except the roots are all black/dark purple and while this spell is channeled the hero model should loose its head and just appear as a round tentcle coverd blob with tendrils attached to the ground witch occasinaly bulge as if they are sucking something into the body.

    Numbers: (my attempt feel free to point out balance issues as this is my first time)

    Radius: 700
    Cast Time: 0.0 Seconds
    Damage: Drains 2% HP-MP per second from each hero/ 3%/ 4%
    Mana Cost: 100+remaining mana / 150+remaining mana / 175+remaining mana
    Cooldown: 160.0 Seconds/ 110/ 60
    Required Level: 6 / 11 / 16
    Notes: Lasts for 6 seconds /12 /24
    Applies Debuff: 20% / 30% / 40% reduced movement speed


    End.

    This is why you should proof read things
    aplogise for the incorrect stats on the page (example: had set to melee when should of been range)

    Interesting idea. I would suggest one thing however, in both your passive aura as your first skill...

    In the description, perhaps change the way you clarify it a bit.
    For example on the aura "More must have more", you say this: "20 Damage at 150 going down to 10 at 400/ 30-15/ 40-20/ 60-30".

    Perhaps change it to say... Within 150 units, does 40 damage / sec. Within 250 units does 30 damage / sec. Within 350 units does 20 damage / sec. Within 450 units does 10 damage / sec. (With 450 being the max). The numbers I put in here are just randomly picked, and is just an example. It seems a little bit easier to understand this way, and probably easier to programme.

    Besides that I am a little bit wondering how useful the ultimate would be. As Roots prevents them from walking away. But your ultimate does not, perhaps add a slowing effect to it? Because it would be a little bit easy to walk out of it, and you have just wasted all your mana. (THough I am guessing it should be more of a final thing, and not like Roots an opener).

    Besides that, you got my vote.

    #1 - Interesting skill, and the numbers look fine except for one thing - you can't give it an infinite duration (I understand it can be broken by moving to 1500 range) as this Hero will automatically dominate every lane in almost every situation.

    #2 - Somewhat generic +damage passive, but it fits the Hero and I like that it's on a ranged Hero, so that it's not 100% guaranteed bonus damage at all times.

    #3 - Very cool ability, but I think that it has to have a cooldown at all levels (1 second is fine at max level) in order to prevent infinite attack-speed stacking becoming an issue.

    Ultimate - I like this a lot, the only thing I might change is to give some (very limited) vision to Heroes from the outside in. It might be a little overpowered to essentially be able to turn on fog of war in the middle of a battle, forcing Heroes to run inside it to even see if it's worth being there in the first place.

    Overall - thumbs up, very interesting concept and the numbers you came up with really aren't bad at all

    you helped point out another load of things that i missed out
    so focused on getting the idea out there that i forgot to get all of the idea out there ^^
